Those clubs like to get their players to stick around after their careers to mould them into coaches/boards/DoF's. Most of those big European teams have ex pros that played for them in the higher up positions. Real, Barca, Dortmund, Ajax, Inter etc those players get the culture, the fans, and have lived the game.
We hire nerds that haven't played, certainly not for us. I don't even know how these professionals get a job in football, especially our scouts. I am 100% sure I could construct a better team than this with a similar budget, and I've have a set system which goes through every layer of the club, from underage to first team. Managers hired based on their ability to fit within that system with fresh ideas.
Our data expert DoF, could be the most clueless operator at this level. It's really mind boggling.

I would actually switch all the Frank out songs to ENIC out. Course Frank should have been sacked months ago, course Lange should be sacked for gross incompetence because of the laughable squad building and his role in championing Frank for the role but ultimate responsibility is with ENIC who have put the 9th richest club in the world in a position where we finished 17th last season and are genuinely in a relegation scrap this season.

It's no accident that Lewis and co forced Levy & Cullen out, and replaced them with a consultant with zero football experience who lives in the Bahamas at the Lewis family estate. Charrington has a long history in mergers/acquisitions with Citibank. Vinai is also an accounts guy - focused on commercial growth.
Both Vinai Venkatesham and Charrington hold ZERO ENIC shares and this gives the Lewis Family trust full control of the club.
These are all money guys - not football guys. They aren't football fans - and they certainly aren't Spurs fans. They are here to build commercial revenues and broker the purchase of Levy's shares at a cut down price - and subsequent sale to new investors at a fat profit.
