More like 50 windows ;)

This is what annoys me about this supposed 'rebranding' they've literally owned the club since 2001, how many times did we see old man Joe or any of his family members rock up to the stadium or show any sort of interest in the club, how much of their own money did they actually put in the club? This re-writing of history is hilarious.
ENIC have owned Spurs since 2001 but the ownership of ENIC has changed from Joe Lewis who you rightly stated showed no interest and the Lewis.Trust which is ruled by the younger members of the Lewis family. These members have been seen to take an interest and been at matches. More money has been put in the club in the last couple of years than the previous 20 years. They control the club but not the day to day decisions which once again has changed.

Yea they have been at matches but the family's ownership % hasn't changed in last 25 years so where was this interest then?! They've been great with PR to media but they have set themselves up for significant backlash as they have yet to follow through with any of the leaks

Assume you are referring to the 100m that they put in and leaked to media more will be available if needed and then when the squad is on its knees and we are finishing at best bottom half of table they didn't spend any of this 100m and bought just 1 first team player in their first post levy window

They control the club but not the day to day decisions which once again has changed.
They are not responsible for day to day decisions but they are wholly responsible for appointing the people who make them and so far that has gone very badly. We are 14th in league, they lost one of their dual sporting directors within 3 months of appointing them and fans have seen nothing change on the pitch despite all the PR spin about wanting to win more often.

Ultimately the only thing that will turn this around is them appointing the right people and backing them. They have failed to do this so far (disaster of a first window and broken promises) and that's all we can judge them on.

Yeah but Joe never sacked Levy...and the kids did. There's been a marked shift in who controls the pursestrings and the levers of power that's happened over the past year or so. Things are different behind the scenes compared to 12 months ago.

We still need to see some evidence that they're not chatting shit and are willing to put their money where their mouth is, but, things quite literally have changed. The kids didn't have the power before and now they do. And since they've taken over they've immediately rocked the boat in a way Joe never did.

I don't see it as rewriting history - it's a changing of the guard. This upcoming summer will be when we learn if things really are different or if the kids are cut from the same cloth as their dad. But until then the jury's out imo.

Just to wind everybody up before today's match not taking inflation into account and based on Transfermkt figures the 25/26 transfer windows have seen a record net outlay by Spurs/ENIC of 183 million euros , just saying.
For those that get stressed by this the curling starts at 9.05 am, GB v Canada , very soothing seeing those stones glide over the ice.

Don't go giving ENIC any ideas about other ways to use the Stadium...

This isn't true

If the summer turns out to be an underwhelming pile of wank people will just say they need 2 or 3 more windows before we can judge them.
They need to sell up and fuck off. They'll never unleash our full potential.

The summer window will indeed be the one they should be judged on.

Levy usually had the knack of doing just enough, to persuade enough people, not to kick off too badly regarding his dealings.

ENIC will be judged on this summer no matter what excuses are offered if there is more failure.

Having said that.

Kudus and Simons may prove to be better long term purchases than Semenyo and Eze.

Time will tell.

Nah if they bottle this window fuck em. They've talked big - they need to back it up with actions now.

Levy for all his sins never ever made huge promises over signings and big salaries. This new board need to live up to their promises.

Under this ownership:
Fans hate the manager
Manager hates the fans
Players hate the fans
Fans hate the players
Fans hate the board
Half the fans hate Romero while the half that don't hate him hate the fans that do

That's some achievement

Is there genuinely anyone behind the scenes who realises how serious this is? Vinai, Lange and Frank are taking this club down and it seems no one is holding them to account.

One of the Lewis kids was apparently unhappy after one game but there seems to be no notable pressure. Can none of them see that the biggest gamble isn't changing managers, it's sticking with this losing loving fraud.

Nah the biggest gamble we've made was continually downgrading our best players
