How sadly ridiculous is our state ATM????

The club is heading for relegation, we haven't won a single match all year, and those goons staging events in our stadium.

Yes, OUR stadium, coz people, who haven't yet, will realize we were fooled when they discover we built the Tottenham Hotspur coffin using our own money.
Not sure what one has to do with the other. Boxing events have been held at our stadium for over 100 years.

April 13, 1922: Jim Smith vs. Pat King (Dockland Settlements Championship) - Jim Smith won

They generate so much profit from non football related events at the stadium they no longer need a successful football team.
I suspect they'll be happy to bumble along in the championship enjoying the lower wages and lower squad investment that comes with it.
If we get promoted some day, we'll increase expenditure the minimal amount required to give us a fighting chance of staying up
I've been saying it for years. They used a historic, high profile football club to build an NFL / multi purpose stadium. And now the football club has served its purpose.

They are the literal definition of parasites.

This is 100% truth.

I think it is worse than that if I am being honest.

I think the whole thing is collusion between a shadow cartel who own Spurs and Woolwich.

It all goes back to 1991 and TISA when there was a real chance the supporters would rescue Spurs from Scholar.

Club has been rotten ever since.

Bring on whatever pox that this group deserve .
Have never shown the club or supporters the respect that they deserved .
They will lose financially but the embarrassment of taking this club down will be humiliating .

Posted in the match thread, but it needs to go here too. As ultimately it’s on ENIC

I do not remember a time when Spurs were not my club. I grew up around Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow and a walk down Ferryboat lane to the high road was the route to something special.

However, Though the late 80’s into the 90’s and early 2000’s it was a bloody hard period to support Spurs.

You went from the glamour and promise of Hoddle / Gazza / Waddle and Lineker into 6-1 or 7-1 away defeats and some god awful performances and players.

Everything was about dreaming of getting back to where we were. Season after season after season. It’s miserable as sin.

That’s why the Kane / Son / Poch period was magic. Absolutely magic, with one caveat. You always felt there was a chairman lifting the handbrake just when it was time to floor the car.

& Then they demolished WHL. And it all changed, for a while the hole in the bottom of the boat was not too worrying, until it wasn’t reassuring at all, and here we are.

The biggest problem with all that ENIC built was it is not earned. It’s just purchased. And there is no jeopardy at all. Lose to Sunderland and you get world class facilities. Lose to Lincoln and you get world class facilities. There is a reason why Madrid have world class facilities. They earn it. Under ENIC we borrow it and think that is success.

ironically I remember watching “Sunderland Till I die” and chatting to a fella at work who loved his Sunderland as much as I loved Spurs. And we were agreeing all the way back in 2020, that Spurs risked the same journey, he could see it. The hint of compromise and cheapness while pointing at shiny things. And here we are today, asset stripped and with a team that is the worst in our history, yet claimed to be too good to go down. It makes me feel sick. 🤢

And the biggest tragedy of it all is that it was avoidable.

No doubt the cost of the new stadium didn’t help.

No doubt Covid hasn’t helped.

But ultimately the ownership didn’t help most. Keeping on with the cheap punts and compromises year in year out. “Nearly” is our story. Nearly got Rivaldo. Nearly got the title. Nearly got the Champions League. Nearly got Dybala. Until we end up nearly getting Andy Fucking Robertson on a Free. It’s a fucking farce.

Hey guys, we are going “big” on a Celtic manager who has won the same things as Kevin Muscat.

Hey guys, we are going “big” on a Brentford manager who has a worse win % than anyone we ever appointed before.

Sold Kane, Sold Son, Sold Johnson. No other club sells their top scorers like that and buys tat like Tel or loans players like Muani. It’s utterly vile to do that.

No. It’s vile and ludicrous and dangerous.

And then there is what we keep year in and year out.

Think of a player like a car. Spurs don’t buy the Ferrari. They buy the top of the range Ford. The Ford is good value.

But then the Ford breaks. Any sensible person then fixes the Ford and sells or trades it in, as once it’s cam belt has pinged, it’s better to move it on.

But nope, Spurs fixed the Ford or sit there at the bus stop time and time again until the Ford is back on the road. Sadly the Ford is never quite as good once it’s been repaired, but the PR department will lie to you that the Ford will be faster than ever before. It’s again, absolutely vile.

You see it loud and clear with Bentancur. Not picking on the bloke, but fuck sake he should have gone years ago. But it’s “cheaper to keep her” as the old song said, and we are told he might be back next week.

Today I could have cried, don’t mind admitting that. Equally I could have killed Lange if I saw him. But right now, it’s just so fucking sad I don’t know how to process it.

And I don’t know how I can take another walk down Ferryboat lane anytime soon. Do I bother with Brighton or do I sit at home and cut myself and time how long it takes for the blood to stop ? Recognise self harm is not funny, but the mental self harm of investing in this bullshit is real enough.

Wimbledon with fans has finally come to pass.

There should have been a riot years ago. It’s not to our credit we let those fuckers like ENIC do this to something we loved so much.

Jim Duggan’s Top Spurs or Spooky’s Dear Mr Levy used to warn us about days like this…not enough people listened

I wish I could give you ten agree 👍 marks. You are spot on.

And there needs to be generational levels of discomfort aimed at them until they are fucked off out of it.

Why did Spurs appoint someone who has been 14 years at Arsenil as Tottenham's CEO in 2025?? Vinai Venkatesham I think is working for Spurs' arch enemy as the board have not made any complaints about the clear cheating the referees are committing against Spurs every week!

Anyone with a fair mind can see it while Arsenil are top of the "fair play league", Spurs have the most yellow cards against, second highest reds and zero penalties in favour! It's so blatant but the media cover it up and blame Spurs players for having no "fight" when the ref is cheating. Brobby on a yellow should have been sent off for his clear push on Romero who crashed in and damaged his knee and Kinsky's head. What happened to protecting the players as first priority for any ref?

I can see ENC selling the football team, not thfc plc, that woud get rid of a the costs that came with a football team & the knock on with the wages going up to board room level
we already have the model here with the extra events run at the stadium (concerts, NFL, RL, Boxing etc) that is where the esay profit is, without the problems of 11 guys kicking a bag of wind about (and the costs of those players, staff etc)
Once the team has gone THFC plc is just like a theatre or cinema selling a night out, the profits are almost fixed, and no worry about paying big wages to "other staff" just because it connected to a football team (using footballers wages as a level to get more for non-footballing board level staff)

I count myself amongst the apathetic.

I also think there are much more important things going on in the world than Spurs currently.

I don't take football as seriously as you.
So why are you here then?
Go and deal with the bigger problems.

That's the ultimate dream for them. Sell the 'football ' club and lease the stadium back. Has been since Day 1

We are already merely 'tenants' in all but name anyway.

It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US.

Exactly.

He comes into this thread to antagonise Spurs fans who are discussing and debating their frustration and disdain for the worst owners in the Premier League as they systemically destroy the club we love......

While going on to admit he has little passion or interest in the game himself.

If that's not trolling, I don't know what is 🤷‍♂️

Not Spurs fans.

Just lazy, lippy charlatans like you who don't like a taste of their own medicine.

Don't forget to pull the tragedy card now, champion.

P.s. you don't love anything but the sound of your own voice.
