Ex-Spurs Player Eric Dier

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All I know is that, watching Romero and VDV sprinting like their lives depended on it, ushering attackers to the line, getting a leg in and poaching the ball back, driving up the pitch, tracking back, keeping a cool head under pressure, playing it cool, playing it aggressive ... I don't miss Eric Dier on any level. I don't yearn for his beefy Captain America frame or tough guy stare or shouting after fucking up. There is not one thing he offers that our two first choice CBs don't improve on.

We're finally being spoilt by an actual quality pair of defenders. Let's get another one of those in pronto and finally bid farewell to this brontosaurus.

He's been found out I think he's making the bench out of respect. I expect Ange would put Royal in at RCB if forced to. I'd kind if forgotten what a centerback was supposed to do after years watching Dier avoid tackles and run.away from play with his arms behind his back.

Couldn't disagree more. His ability to frantically wave his hands about is without equal.

In all seriousness, I never want to see his brand of 'defending' ever again and, fingers crossed, we won't have to.

Wish him all the best, but he's on the wrong team. Should still be serviceable or better on a team that is bettered suited to him. Not being an expert, it always intrigued me how good managers seemed to value his abilities. I couldn't see it, but people who know a lot more than I do did. He can still come good somewhere, just a shame he didn't see that and try harder to get somewhere else.

I'd like to see him at Celtic or Rangers. Honestly think the tough guy stare, endless backing off running away with his arms behind his back, and all the shouting and pointing after fucking up would be a huge hit up there. He could give an interview shortly after joining on how the Old Firm atmosphere beats any other derby (including NLD), and the Scottish media would be jerking all over him.

To be honest, as much as I'm glad we've replaced him in the starting eleven, I think this is a mean cut.

He was a decent player for a few years and got fucked by injuries and management. Not his fault he wasn't world class, he got on with his work and that's all we can ask, up until we decided they're not good enough anymore. He's out of the team and will be off.
Is 100% a mean cut. That's the point.

How can people give him stick if they left in the bit where he greeted & hugged the player he was waiting for?! (I can't remember who it was)
