I explained this in the Transfer thread, if Tuchel goes back to his 5-2-3 formation he fits Bayern well, he hinted that when he explained the reason why they signed him.

Unless Bayern plan to concede a lot of possession and defend deep in their own box, I can't see Dier being a natural fit.
There's too much disrespect on here for someone who gave his all and for a good while was a fan favourite.

Dier does not deserve all the shit he gets. He has been here for years and has been loyal and played well for many of them. At CB he played well enough to get selected for England many times. It was only towards the end of last season when he started making massive errors. Clearly he does not fit the current style but he is still good enough to hold his own ina team playing a style that suits him.
Whilst I am glad he is leaving he goes with my best wishes and will be welcome back as an ex player when hie is retired.

Always a player I have had a lot of time for. He has always given his all even if it wasn't quite enough.
Under Poch as a DM he was great but had a solid defence behind him and always felt he needed to play with a strong CB when he moved back there to get the best out of him. A vocal leader that we often didn't have elsewhere, I found it sad to see his decline with us.
I'm sure the constant change of managers and styles over the last 4 years hasn't helped him and hope this change will help him pick his career back up.
