Top quality centre backs are very hard to sign. Would you take van dyke over dier at the moment. Van dyke was hailed as the best centre back in the world for the last few years but now a terrible defender. Dier has been a loyal servant does that count for nothing. If there is a better centre back out there we can sign I am all for it but you think it is a magic wand to bring these players in. Many big clubs compete for these players. Dier is really not as bad as some people say. He can have a run of 4 or 5 really good games. I really will judge our players when an exciting world class manager comes in that does not invite pressure on our back 4 and motivates our team. Where is the
talent coming through our youth setup. We have world class training facilities. This could save us 10s of millions in transfer fees.
