According to the ratings Dier had a poor 20/21 at 6.10 , an excellent 21/22 at 6.65 and our highest rated player, a good start over the first 15 games of 22/23 but then dropped away.
It's inconsistent over 3 seasons but I would give him one more season to see if he can turn it round again while having his utility as back up .

Like I said, there are genuinely fans who give Dier praise when we keep a clean sheet. He could have a dismal match and the clean sheet is a result of a world class keeper display, or poor finishing, but the "fans" will credit it to Dier.
