You don’t need to be Einstein to know that but Ange goes all in. Surely Will would have given better strength and physicality up top. We can’t play 4 lightweight players in any formation unless you have real bruiser in CM. Best way to play is like what dippers had with mane salah and firminho. What they had was a powerful midfield behind them and FBs who stayed wide. Alternatively play 3 at the back. Keep WBs wide and our FBs are better suited to that role. Play 2 sitters in front and play MADDs in his proper role. Then solanki up top in a two with either son or kulu.

I’ll come clean, I support both Spurs and Rangers having lived down here 40 years. It’s been an interesting take on here. Had the game purely gone to standings, then Spurs are 3 goals better, all day long - it didn’t and they didn’t. But I’m not unhappy as both of them will progress to the knock out phase.
I wasn't confused as to the status of Phillips availability, more as to why we have allowed that to occur, we were clearly light for cover at CB with 4 comps to contest this season so why are we loaning a player who could feasibly step into that 4th choice role for us. #"÷, if only as a stop gap until Vuskovic comes or we buy a new one?
Probably Ange decided after having him on the bench (unused) last season that he thought Phillips could do with a loan to get more experience of playing mens football.
Phillips has now had 2 loans for 6 months each to clubs in Championship ..... so the better question is whether Ange thinks Phillips is now at a level where Ange is happy to rely on him starting a few games with the expectation that game time increases over next year or so to become an established member of squad
Bear in mind Phillips takes up a squad place in EL this season
