Match Europa League - 12th December - Rangers (A) 8PM

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

"He wasn’t playing anywhere near the level he should. When you’ve got 18-year-olds it’s not acceptable to me. I said that to Timo. He’s a senior international, he’s a German international. In the moment we’re in right now, it’s not like we’ve got many options. I need everyone to at least be going out there trying to give the best of themselves. His performance in the first half wasn’t acceptable.

Don’t really know [how he took it]. It’s not really of great concern. We need everybody including him to be contributing. because we don’t have the depth to leave people out if they’re performing poorly. We need them to play their part. Especially the senior guys. When I’m asking younger guys to do massive jobs. I expect a level of performance from some of the senior guys and today wasn’t that."

Full quote on Werner, so low and behold he did call out all the senior players. What a mean bully of a man.
hahahahahahahah he calls out easy targets like Spence, Werner and Bissouma. Of course he can do that.

Show me where he's called out Romero's unacceptable performances being culpable for six to seven goals or Sonny ghosting through games. Woopdeedoo he called out a bit part player that isn't even ours.

Seeing some of our fans genuinely happy with a draw at Rangers, I don't even wanna put into words how that makes me feel. Bet Daniel is ecstatic, though...his masterplan working to perfection.
Honestly. The expectations of some of our fans really have reached sewer levels. The acceptance of mediocrity is alarming.
This was the Levy’s goal when he appointed this guy. And it's paying off for him perfectly.

I couldn't post "like" to that post.
But thanks for that.

they were at home with 50,000 supporters egging them on, we dominated possession and scored as many as they did.
Unless shots ending up in row Z are now a positive statistic, who knows. is that what Xg is?

Basically, with everything in their favour, they failed to beat a depleted Spurs team at home

To me - that's "effectively" outplaying them. I didn't say batter, or hammer....

They huffed and puffed, and we soaked it all up and came away with a result. My guess is our club is happier than theirs.
In the words of big Ange, "Sorry Mate", but I don't think you were watching the right game". I believe Forster would agree with me.

If it wasn't for Jefte we would have won handily.
He handled both Johnson and Kulu. Pulled off 2 incredible goal stopping actions.
But he should have been booked.
20 yo. Buy him!

Re : Jefte

Signed for 680, 000 pounds and turned out to be a game-changer in a vital European tie .

We haven’t done that since the mid-60s ; why haven’t we been able to keep up over the past 60 years?

Why don’t we spend big anymore ?

He's from Spain, and plays with a high press.

I think that covers it.

Not even a high press..... Intense press, but it's not high or aggressively attacking.

I reckon how he sets up suits a Bmuff....... It's a decent balance for such a place in the pecking order; not for where people expect us to be and how they expect us to play.

I said it before, if he came here he'd experience similar difficulties.

He has to play twice a week and manage the team properly. Can he mantain that intensity with more games? Can he rotate properly and keep the players fit and avoid an injury crisis? How would he handle the pressure?

When did he call out Spence?

He called out Bissouma for filming himself taking balloons.

I can't work out if he's incredibly stupid or just trolling

Raf Raf in case you were really wondering if he was asked or just came out with it.

Fair enough he was asked directly about Werner.

Like I said I don't have a problem with players being called out. Maybe a bit unfair on Werner since it wasn't only him playing badly but the question was about Werner.
