Agree. Richie is still coming back. For me it is make or break season for RIchie with us tho. Guy needs to stay fit and be a positive, effective second choice no.9. Something tells me he thinks he is better than that for us, but I'm afraid the evidence says otherwise. Good back up, if fit.

Just watched the game and, on another day, we bag 4 without getting out of second gear. Werner I feel bad for, his head has gone when he sees a net. I reckon he torn all his curtains down by now! Having said that, he should have had a lovely assist from that peach of a cross he put in for Moore.
Defensively though, I thought we were pretty sound. Aside from the Bentancur cock up, they didn't really test us overmuch. Forster made 2 regulation saves and one good one. That was about it from AZ.
It was a good, professional performance, only marred by poor finishing of very good chances.
I have a lot of time for Werner, as I think he's a conscientious professional who is really trying, but it's just not working for him. He's here as a loan, so it's not like we're invested in him coming through this slump and playing well again. So I'm in with those who think he should be cut loose come the Jan window. I always believed he was a stop gap anyway, to allow Moore to develop, but I'm now wondering if the club are looking to accelerate Moore's development. With Odobert now back, I'm not seeing Werner getting the amount of minutes that would justify his wages.

Never said to replace him. We need another striker who hopefully would score more goals. Lots of chances being created but many misses atm.

If Werner was on the pitch in the 2nd half Madders should have let him take the penalty to help his confidence?

If we are up against heavily defensive teams and can’t score a goal a change of formation would be good. Many posters here talk about Ange not having a Plan B

And we aren’t going to sign a ‘world class’ striker just to give us a “plan b”.

Interesting seeing Bentancur's involvement in the penalty situation with Maddison and Richarlison. You can see him helping convince Richi to give up the ball. Then there's a really nice touch during the goal celebration where Bentancur gives Madders a big pat on the back before congratulating Richi.
Like Ange said a couple of weeks ago, leadership can come from anyone.
We can do better than we are,with so much attacking play we should be scoring more goals. We really have not got a top striker to finish off chances.Son is ageing, the other forwards are not top finishers. We signed Solanke to do a certain job. He’s doing it very very well. Ergo we won’t be replacing him.
Watch a few more games. Also, we’re scoring plenty of goals. You’d know that if you were actually a spurs fan and watched our games.
