Match Everton - Spurs - Feb 3rd - 12:30pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Johnson has to stay a sub for a few games I think. He’s much better being used like that. Bentancur seems to be out of form. Vicariou is going to be targeted henceforth and we need to be more switched on about helping him out. Hojbjerg should never start.

I’m not sure where this set piece anxiety came from because I seem to remember most of the year we have been incredible on both sides of set pieces.

I believe we were the last team to concede from a corner in the league. It’s come out of no where that we look like conceding on every dead ball.
Once they stopped fouling we weren't in any trouble from corners. The Ref needed to get hold of it earlier.

From an emotional standpoint I can understand the frustration of not winning. But from a realistic point of view. A draw away at Goodison really isn't the end of the world.

Most of you have said it. We didn't deserve to win. So therefore to not lose isn't a bad result. Would your opinion on a draw have been any different if it was us equalising in the 94th minute instead after that performance?

We weren't good enough today. But we move on and thank fucking God we don't have to come up against a team like Everton again. They'll cause Liverpool just as many problems when they rock up to Goodison in a month or so time.

Three home games on the bounce coming up. Win those. Get 9 points and we see where we are.

Being a bit realistic I said I'd have taken 13 points from 15 from Brentford, Everton, Brighton, Wolves and Palace. Still on course for it.

Could have been alot worse today.
Very true!

It’s the frustration of how and when we conceded that I think sticks in the craw more than anything! So close to all three points and then a couple of brain farts cost us.

Six goals conceded in three PL games.

No side can afford that amount of goals being conceded and expect to challenge for silverware. Once we have the options of Sarr and Bissouma i think that rate will drop off.

I thought as a whole the back four played well, Vic will only get better and at the end of the day a point away against any team with three key players missing is a good point.

I would have taken that before kick off.

Ange won't be happy with the way we dropped off, but Gill and Skipp could have done more, especially Skipp.

Aside from a few exceptions; we haven't truly combined dominant performances with 3 points all season....

I just don't think we're that team yet. Especially in attacking terms.

Could do with being able playing a settled MF again too...... Which hasn't been the case since Biss's card at Luton.
Problem largely lies with the wingers, outside of the clear holes in the squad due to injury, suspension and national team duties. None of our wingers are able to take on their man and beat them, and that means that we're relying on the overlap run from the fullbacks to get into the box, or the wingers pass it backwards. The other problem is that they can't hold the ball up so the only time they're actually effective is when they receive it in space. For a team that relies on wide forward play for chance creation our wingers aren't anywhere near good enough

Absolutely.

Conceding late is basically a punch in the gut. If they equalised in the 75th minute and we held on we'd all probably feel slightly better and that we got a hard earned point.

I hope we can just learn from it.

The subs were a problem today, but much of that will come down to options available and fitness. Particularly in midfield, where Bentancur, Maddison, and Sarr all have reasonable explanations for why their minutes would be limited to an extent. I’ll be concerned about Ange if it continues as Biss comes back and the other midfielders get back to their peak levels, but I’m not at that point. Much more concerned about defending set pieces.

It does. As I've said before, I remember Klopp's Liverpool giving up leads/plenty of goals etc in the early days, so some defensive frailty doesn't panic me too much. Obviously though, it has to be improved eventually.
Couldn’t agree more. Like most of us, I love Ange and everything he’s doing. We see a weakness. I trust they’ll do the right thing and figure it all out in time.
His track record has shown that to be the case.
The second year under him is where it’s at.
If we’re not making significant progress on these things by this time next season, then we really have to look at it seriously
