Match Everton v Spurs April 3rd

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m sorry to say it, but Harry’s reaction was embarrassing. We would have gone mad if an opposition player had done that to us.
Totally correct. And he committed two unforgiveable kicks at a player on the deck and at Dacoure both after the whistle which led to the latter’s reaction. Let’s not beat about the bush, poster boy cheated and got away with it. He could have been carded for his tackles and been off also. Absolutely the right decision to red card Dacoure but FFS Kane the exaggeration is embarrassing.

The cameras showed e spent the immediate aftermath avoiding eye contact with Dyche then justifying himself to other Everton players. Coleman must have been at him for the rest of the game Because he was desperate to chat with him at the final whistle. He was clearly ashamed of his behavior but looking to justify it and prevent any bad-feeling. Cringeworthy.

England captaincy and media darling lates him away with diving yet again. Pity - such a great goalscorer.

What team do you support?

Was in the lower tier of the away end at Goodison last night- it really is an antiquated shit hole but that only adds to its charm and character ( one of my favourite away grounds) As always our support was magnificent-if only the players could match our levels of commitment and desire we would be absolutely fine.
That is four points from the last two games needlessly tossed away, come season end the loss of these points will be all too apparent. Gutted.

Sanchez looked terrible when he came on though didn’t he? Whoever scouted him should be sued
he was just about ok when he came here, but who has coached him how to defend since he arrived ?
Im not talking about coaching the team or setting up tactics I'm talking about coaching indivisuals in their own areas, so a defensive coach, midfield coach, etc
the cheapest option must be to empoly good coaches (along with the manager and his own coaching team)

Our failure all season has been an inability to control a game when necessary. That ‘three at the back, wing backs and only two midfielders’ might work in Italy where teams like to have a more cultured and structured build up but in the blood and thunder of the premiership fight for survival our midfield is soon overrun and stretched. Don’t blame Skipp and Hojberg when they are up against 3 big athletes like last night. If we continue with that system we can look forward to more disappointments

Lets not not get blinded here by our shit players either. What did conte do to improve his players? What system did he change to when its obvious it wasnt working? How was his coaching. Any players improve? The answer to all that is a big fat no.
He wanted out out and acted like a spoilt child in his time here
We also decided it was not the tactics it was just the manager. The fact is the setup is the same and with Perisic playing Son ends up out of position. The fact is Son and Perisic should never be in the same starting line up.

Disagree. Nothing special. We made them look half decent..

I don't think they will go down but in the same way as Southampton, it was our pathetic unprofessional manner which suggested greater capability than any reality..

We are a club in need of a new managerial team.

I’m sorry for your username but we need a massive squad overhaul.

We still have Dier at CB, Lloris in goal, Hoj in CM.

The spine of this team can’t play against athletic players pressing high up the pitch… and we are in the bloody premier league where almost every team has athletes that press high up the pitch.

only a few weeks ago I started to think that maybe it was Son & perisic take each others space, But last night Son's deplay had nothing to do with being out of position, his touch was awful, he rarely had the ball under control & much of his passing was poor

Sadly , after last nights performance , it looks like the boring , turgid , ultra cautious , anti - football tactics ingrained on the team by Conte , appears to be the Stellini default mode .
Were we that naive to think that a manager that had worked so closely and for so long with Conte would be inclined to actually try something different ?
Once again , it looks like a footballing decision by Daniel Levy has gone spectacularly wrong . It now looks likely that we will limp along to the end of a disappointing season .
The players must accept their parts in all of this , there is a mentality issue running through the whole squad and a distinct lack of any leadership qualities amongst the players .
I do believe , that there is a few players who’s footballing abilities are completely negated by the tactics enforced on them , and that is entirely down to the coach .
That said , we have many players that are not ( and never will be ) good enough to play at the level we , as a football club aspire too . We are top heavy with players that have to be moved on and that in itself is a monumental task , which the next manager / DOF combination have to sort out .
It will take a very brave new manager to come in and sort this mess out , which makes Levys next appointment so vital that he gets it right . I can’t say I’m over confident that he will .
It certainly looks like we have a few very difficult years in front of us and a distinct possibility that if we remain in the hands of our present owners , we could fall further and further behind all the “ more ambitious “ PL clubs .
It is a worrying time for all Spurs fans who deserve so much better . Let’s hope this is the starting point for better days to come .

Irrespective of that and with respect we had 11 men, it was Everton and whatever else, there is no basis or justification for a team with 3rd in their grasp for the 2nd game running to concede so late on.

Squad changes yes, managerial and formation changes absolutely imperative.

Definitely need changes. Conte system is too fucking rigidly stuck to one formation. A system should be able to play more than 1 shape….

But

There aren’t a lot of changes screaming out to be made with our injury list.

Sure, could punt on Sarr in CM, or Danjuma for Son, maybe Kulu in CAM.

But we don’t have a fit player that could play in their natural position and enable us to change the formation.

When the shit hit the fan yesterday, Hoijberg vanished. He was nowhere. I wonder if he was one of the main ones Conte was singling out.

He wasn't putting pressure on anyone, casually jogging and following players around, wasn't busting a gut to put challenges in.

Everton fancied it from the start and we were utterly appalling. Our centre halves were dreadful and seemed determined to give the ball away or get caught in possession. Or midfields tried but their limitations showed and our front three were utterly dreadful. Son has been getting dogs abuse, how Kulusevski avoids it is beyond understanding. The only slight positives were our wingbacks, but that wasn't much.

If Everton had a World class striker, we would have been utterly buried.
