Confident it will start coming together when afcon/asia cup ends. In terms of creativity/engine room getting Madders/Son/Sarr and Biss back will make a huge difference. We dont have the luxury of having an entire bench of best 11 players like they do.
 
I enjoyed our defending. Not much creativity to inspire the eye except that absolutely beautiful sequence of play down the right or orchestrated by Kulu. I felt sorry for Pierre after the effort he put in but he stepped into his clown shoes there for a brief spell. Can't be bothered with paragraphs. Lacklustre. Ok in places. No trophy run. My curry arrived lukewarm. Off to watch Loudermilk. Meh.

Agree and if anything this is hopeful because when Madders was playing that's exactly what he did. I think we will be so much better with him and Son y in the side. Just need to keep them fit now.

We don't have the depth to go toe to toe with City. Most of us where hoping for 'The Underdog' sucker punch. Just look at their players. Anyone on their bench would walk into our first team.

Doku and De Bruine come on as Subs. Grealish, Stones and Gomez didn't even come on. How do you compete with that when you have to play Kulu, Johnson and Werner? You subs are Madison, Skipp and Scarlett. Even Madison would ha e to fight for game time at city. Let's not even mention the rest Davies, Emerson, Gil and Santiago. Conte, Jose and even Nuno pulled off miracles against City.

Again I ask, being the Deloitte's richest club in London, where does our problem lie? Our riches definitely doesn't lie in our Football Team.

Thats harsh imo, he was excellent with his off the ball, worked like a dog till the end, was a proper menace using his strength, not his fault johnson cant cross from 1mm out or that we didnt use the many opportunities to play in werner when he was behind to allow him to put in a cross.... Richie virtually didnt have any chances created for him when he was in the box.
 
We are way ahead of where we all thought we would be this season, esp with all the injuries. We have a great chance of Champions League next year.Lets be positive, A be now knows where our weaknesses are.
 
Guess if we're taking positives. We get a free run in the league to finish as high as possible.

And Villa drew tonight so they'll have a replayed match pencilled in somewhere. More games for a pretty thin squad on top of the Conference League coming up for them.

Being picky but that was obviously happening early on every time they had a corner so stick someone on the post to prevent it

They were the better side on the night but had to cheat to go through aided and abetted by Tierney

Johnson really needs to learn how to cross and pass, i really really really really mean it too, gets into good position mainly down to his pace but fucks up the final ball 99% of the time, and against the big teams its that 1 % or 2 % extra that gets you over the line.
