Huijsen was 16 in 2021, we can forgive Paratici for not paying him much attention.

The issue at the club is we are now on a high fee low wage model excepting players who are on free’s like Gomes so that means.

1 elite youth players
2 Free transfers or bargains

Ideally you need both Paratici and Lange. Paratici as the DoF ias he has contacts and charm and knows how to get bargains and Lange as the head data and technical who can spot youth talent.

Best thing I think the club could do right now is

Levy - lock in him a cage and take his phone away
Paratici - sack Munn and merge the CFO and DoF roles and give it to him so he is running the show.
Lange - keep him if possible as a technical and heading of scouting
Ange - let Paratici/Lange work out who to replace him.

Like who? Richarlatan? Udogie…Romero..have you seen the state of their player threads? Most of his signings have been average or worse. VDV is probably the only real standout.

Not to mention the fucking farce he led chasing managers last time.

This convicted crook seems to be hailed as some sort of messiah which I find a little baffling. He seem like an absolutely world class blagger to me. But I get it, he’s Italian, dresses well and so people think he’s Carlo Gambino (look it up).

Yes, that fact did not slip my attention..in fact, it was one of the matters that piqued my interest. As I stated, they both moved that summer of 2021 which means Paratici had to know about the player and probably negotiated matters. Surely he's a player we should have known about before he went to Bournemouth...better and more suited to the PL than Dragusin but here we are. A DOF should know of promising youth players in a club's setup.

So no, I'm not sure we should forgive him for not paying much attention. It's this type of leniency that has folks happy about his return having stuck us with the likes Kulu, Bentancur, and Romero...overpriced, average players that have 2 shining moments and get labelled WC.
 
Perhaps he has something to contribute as an advisor, but given what he did to earn his suspension I can't see him being in a senior position.
