Forest's Premier Leauge thread is quite amusing. They basically hate everyone which I can relate to.
Of course that won't stop them screaming and crying when they are trying to get away tickets. Like you see on all newly promoted teams forums.
I suppose when you have been in the Championship as long as they have, you have to do something to keep yourself amused.

Being based in Leicester, I'm very much looking forward to the fireworks when Forest roll into town.

The Foxes have been blessed with every team being indifferent/liking them in the PL, but there'll finally be some needle next season.

I can't get the thought out of my mind of Leicester "ultras" running through town dressed up in fancy dress costumes waiving their cardboard clappers angrily.

They are a fanbase that sits just below the cringe level of Woollwich.

We always used to have running battles with them at their place during the 70's, funny they never used to show at WHL though.
They showed up for the 5th round of the FA Cup in February 1971 (I had to check the date). I was 14 and standing in the Park Lane about an hour before kick-off, it was about half full. In those days, if you didn't get in early to defend 'your end' the away fans could get in there before you. The centre of the Paxton was full of Forest. The usual singing and chanting was going on when a large mob in red and white appeared in the corner of the Paxton and the Shelf, at first I thought they might be Woolwich, but they were more Forest. They stood for a minute deciding what to do, and then started moving along the terrace below the Shelf towards the Park Lane, joined many who were already in the Paxton.
At first there was bit of hesitation in the Park Lane, do we stand our ground, or go and meet them. Then a group started moving around to meet them, followed by more and more (I tagged along at the rear).
The terrace in front of the shelf was nearly empty at that time and the was no coppers about. The two groups faced off near the centre of the Shelf, Then a few at the front rushed at each other, followed by more. I'll always remember this Spurs fan at the front, wading in, arm over arm, like he was doing the front crawl. Forest were forced back and turned and ran back to the Paxton. Spurs fans didn't bother following them too far, we returned to the Park Lane victorious in defending 'our end'.
Oh, the game? Spurs 2 (Gilzean, Chivers) Forest 1 (?).

Winning the European Cup once is an achievement for a small provincial club but twice fuck me that really was something, yet it seems like “matter of fact” yeah we won, so……whats the big deal.

Shared this before.

March 1997 we played Forest at home, I think they were bottom and had just appointed Stuart Pearce. Dean Saunders scored early and we lost. We were so fucking rubbish that we left the stadium and was back in the (now closed) Wheelwrights pub in Chingford before the game ended and the match was on the radio in the bar.

Seem to remember Teddy kept dropping back deep for the ball and Dozzel coming in and he might have been the key to leave as he was so shit. Our record in the Premier League against them is not good overall. That’s all !

Welcome back Forest.

Anyone here have any memories of the ill-fated match that was called off?
I decided against going to the match (two of my mates drove there). Met another mate in a pub to watch it live, only for it to be called off due to the snow. My two mates who went to the game had a terrible time driving back, they didn't get home to London until 5am the next morning.
