Managed to catch the last 10 mins of the game via the BBC website on patchy 3G. I've never felt so elated at a draw. We proved something tonight, we really bloody did. I'm so proud.
 
Holy twat i miss the game, been thinking about it for a month and i miss it. Woke up with mini heart attack and check the score.
Dont know why but i expected to get the point. What i didnt expect is the result at the other match.
 
I had a good feeling before the match that we would win 2-1 and we were so close. I was working (in a pub) so couldn't get too involved in the game sadly, but I am elated even though it was a draw. We have shut a lot of people up tonight and proved again that we can compete at this level.

Still drinking on the performance tonight. What a way to start what will surely be the most grueling part of our season. Lads will be flying, fuck the dippers at the weekend and be looking at United and round 2 with Madrid licking their lips. In a few weeks we'll all be hung to our knees with Spurs.
 
I honestly thought we could - and would - nick it in the end. To feel slightly disappointed that we didn’t is ridiculous, really. Fantastic night for the club. Hope Madrid don’t turn their attention from De Gea to Hugo. Modric did look class tonight, to be fair.

I strangely don't worry about it. I think Hugo is here to stay. For whatever reason keepers seem more loyal than outfielders and I don't think Madrid will go Galactico for a keeper, forwards are flashier and are more help getting presidents reelected.
