God where does this leave us for tomorrow and Sunday…?

Hoping that Werner and Moore are recovered enough, as well as Spence and maybe Romero.

And then play first team players who didn't play against Galatasaray - maybe Udogie, Sarr, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Johnson, Solanke - plus Vicario and Davies/Dragusin (our only 2 for CB's) ..... with everyone who plays Galatasaray on bench with one or two youngsters.

I mean, there's zero chance he starts a freshly turned 16 year old.

Wouldn't mind if he did though. It is no coincidence to me that we lost at Palace away after playing on Thursday. I don't know what the right balance or formula is to navigate it but basically I have no problem with him playing the kids and not even travelling with a first team, assuming it meant a win at the weekend. The problem is the win at the weekend isn't guaranteed even if he does play the kids.

Hello! As a Galatasaray fan, I follow Tottenham in the Premier League and I wanted to respond after seeing your message.

Our team gets its name from a school founded in 1481 by Sultan Bayezid II to educate statesmen. This school, originally called "Galata Sarayı" (meaning Galata Palace), took its name from the area where it was established. Today, the school exists as both a high school and a university and it is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Turkiye. Anyone who wishes to become the president or a congress member of Galatasaray Sports Club must have been educated at Galatasaray High School.

As our club's founder Ali Sami Yen stated, "Our goal is to play collectively like the English, to have a color and a name, and to beat teams that are not Turkish." This mission highlights why European matches hold special significance for Turkish people and Galatasaray fans. Since Tottenham is a big club, I am expecting really hostile stadium. I hope for an exciting game and wish Tottenham the best of luck in the Premier League!
Have pity on us look at the footage we are sending babies! Actual babies oh and one very very big pensioner!!!

There is not much to do for annoying whistle. Considering injuried players loud environment is actually not what we should worry about.

I agree if you are a professional footballer you ought to embrace the noise away from home. I remember when we went to Besiktas and they were deafening and we shut them up a bit. That said, some players are more sensitive to sound than others, and perhaps the most toxic thing about football is that if the opposition finds out that one of your players is highly sensitive to sound, they target that player more instead of having empathy for them still being a professional footballer despite their condition.

You missed out a word 'experienced professional footballer' some of the squad do not have that experience.

I don't think it matters that much personally. Where are they going to get the experience? I remember 'Arry played the kids throughout the Europa and they made some mistakes and everybody understood and it did them no harm. Sherwood wasn't scared to play inexperienced players over players with experience. Ultimately I feel experience is a bit of a myth with football because the bottom line is you want to play for Tottenham away whether you are 14 or 34, and probably more-so at 14.

When we went to play Besiktas in Istanbul in 2006 under Martin Jol, our first european match in years, 19 year old Aaron Lennon was part of the squad and played well despite of the crowd.

We won 2-0 away, a fantastic result than none of the press expected, and Spurs players were delighted but surprised by the Besiktas fans (who were very fair minded) clapping them off the pitch after a great performance of football.

Usually the kids get experience on the bench before finally getting a few minutes. Some have already started matches but this match is so different to what they have experienced. There is a real risk they will freeze and lose confidence. There are more matches to come that they can play in. Some will have to be brought on as subs but that is better than starting. We have a poor record in the first half, poor record away and Gala have a good home record and will play their strongest team. We could be out of it within the first 30 mins.
Why is everyone so worried about Ipswich? We rested more players before Palace & Brighton than against Villa and that backfired.
