Match Galatasaray VS Tottenham Hotspur. Thursday 7th November @17:45. UEFA Europa League.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Positives: first time we’ve played a significant European game under Ange. Short of Son and a couple others, most of our players haven’t played a match like that. Good experience. Also did well with ten men.

Negatives: completely out of our depth for about 60 minutes and 5-1 wouldn’t have flattered them. It was a diabolical performance for the most part.
 
Makeshift team, we didn't press or hold up the ball well without Solanke. No midfield control. Many of them had off games which compounded things.

We have seen a lot of matches under Ange with all kinds of teams fielded but never saw us give the ball away so much. The crowd certainly had them shook but we did recover with more first teamers on the pitch and even with 10 were able to have some control over the game. You could have 300,000 dippers or Chavs, Scum and still be able to meditate or study for your exams. In the PL we don't have anything like Galatasaray.

The saying: Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger... I think that applies here.. we will learn from this and going away in PL will no longer be as tough, after facing the infamous Galatasaray crowd / atmosphere.

If this was leg 1 of a semi final I'd be fuming. It wasn't so I'm not. In fact I'm more positive about us in the comp than I was before the match.

If that was the 1st leg of a semi final, I'd be ECSTATIC to come away with a slender 3-2 (I know away goals don't count any more) but even so, we totally got away with one there...

To 'only' lose by 1 goal, when it coulda been a rout, and seriously dented any GD we had is amazing when you think about it!
We did well to still be in with a shout of an equaliser towards the end...
Would've been totally unfair on Gala, but fuck them!

A tad melodramatic there , John ? We were outplayed for the majority of the game , some of the defending was comical & yet we came away with a score line that was not a representation of the game & could have possibly nicked a draw.

Football is not just about heart attacks & anger . I think the majority of us kind of accepted a defeat & at half time the feeling of losing heavily was not being unreasonable. The fight once we went down to 10 men was admirable . My anger , if any was more at our squad quality & strength , we’re always a few injuries from being a team who can beat anyone to a team that struggles to beat a championship team but we’ve been here for seasons if not decades & we all know the reason why. Knowing all that I could enjoy the game as it’s no surprise that we field a weaken XI we struggle

The team out there wasn't weak. that was a strong line up that shouldn't have got ripped apart like it did. Losing away to Galatasaray isn't necessarily the issue, it's a tough place to go.

Forster, Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Maddison, Bissouma, Son, Johnson all started. All are expreienced enough players

Gray, Lankshear and Bergvall are some of the best prospects in the country.

No matter how it gets dressed up that performance was worrying.

The hilarious thing is you're gonna be waiting a while for this to happen, it's kinda pointless acting the bitter little man and hope for an outcome which is to the detriment to the club you support. Fine you may not like the manager but choosing to actively not enjoy what you're watching because of said manager is kinda counter productive to being an actual fan of this football club, don't you think?

Madness - I definitely see improvements and tweaks in his approach this season. After Nuno, Wiggy, Jose etc he’s a breath of fresh air and I think even Ange would admit he’s learning and improving. Let’s enjoy the journey as if he’s sacked, the odds say we are likely to default back to someone awful like the aforementioned three
