His technique is amazing, he is using his foot like a golf club and driving the ball with the side of his foot. All that time on the golf course is paying off!

Fair point, he can hit it straight top spin or inside-out so keepers don't know which side it's goingIt's a technique based upon the table-tennis idea of adding massive topspin to dramatically increase the dip of the ball once it slows from the initial powerful strike.
Perfect for beating a wall and then bouncing at a goalies feet, or going in the top corners if you're closer to the penalty area.
People used to say that about a certain Mr Gerrard, you know.
Well so do we
Well we should start putting in performances which show this desire.

I know the debate will go on about Bale, but at what point do you as a teammate of his say to yourself "That is something, I want to play harder now". Can moments or players such as him, and be honest he is special, inspire others around him to step it up to another level? I hope so, because what Lennon has been doing this year is phenomel, working harder than I have seen any winger in a while. Would love to see his tackle/challenge amounts this year. Back to the subject, I hope his teammates get that extra gear and incentive this year and push us over the finish line in our best position yet in the PL.
Standard disclaimers apply, but this doesn't sound like someone eager to leave before making a more lasting mark. I think if we qualify for the CL this year and Bale is touching some silver w/in 18 months, his move will get pushed a bit further down the road. Maybe he'll be the face of the club when the new stadium opens…The Sun via f365 said:"I think five or 10 years ago Woolwich were always miles ahead of Tottenham. But that has changed in recent years.
"Over the past few seasons we have closed that gap and I think now we have overtaken them on the pitch. I think we have the stronger squad.
"Hopefully we can continue to do that as a club off the pitch as well, with the new stadium that is being built.
"But on the pitch and as a team now we are a lot more consistent and as a club we're moving in the right direction.
"Woolwich may say they are still ahead of us.
"But whatever people's opinions I don't think anyone can deny we are up there fighting with them on merit now."
