Ex-Spurs Player Gareth Bale

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You need to remember that not only is SSN a mouthpiece for the Sky Sports Network to advertise their matches, events etc. upon, but it is also an outlet upon which they can funnel gullible punters onto their skybet website. No matter what the sport, no matter what the situation, they will likely always show odds of some kind.

Yeah, of course that's the SENSIBLE answer!

I just wanna rant that one of our players isn't allowed to be any good for more than 5 minutes, before Sky are touting him around Europe on our behalf.. Thass all!

Hmmm.... Can't have the current chairman tapping up Bale... EUREKA!:freund:Let's ask our former chairman to tap him up for us:

Ramón Calderón said:
“I think he is a fantastic player. He is one of those players you would always like to have in your team,"

“It’s true we have spent a lot of money in the last three or four years but I think we are in a position to pay the money they are going to ask for.

“There is always a limit but Real Madrid is in a very healthy situation, economically speaking, so it would be in the position to sign him.

“I’m sure it will be a high amount of money because he is a fantastic player. A lot of clubs would like to have him.”

To be expected I guess.

I brought this up in the West Ham thread too ....
Last season ... when we all sang for Harry to stay ... it was so touching and emotional ....

I really think, we should sing it for Bale in that same tune ... it just so moving and I would love to hear it again.

"We want you to stayyy, Gareth Bale, we want you to stay ... We want you to stayyy, Gareth Bale, we want you to stay!"

... I mean this would be the prefect match (against the Gooners) because our fans will be up for it at WHL.

I know that there are other songs/chants too like this but this one is so simple but so loud and clear.
When I first heard it for Harry at the 5-0 Newcastle game ... the fans really moved me.

I really wish I could sing this with you all at WHL ... but I'll do so in front of my Tele.

So, lets spread the word and sing!!!!! :bale2: :bale2: :bale2: :bale2: :bale2: :balelol:

I couldn't care less if Sky are putting up odds about Bale leaving. Of course Sky want Bale to stay in the Prem, but then they have the rights to Liga as well don't they?

Everyone knows that the biggest clubs in the world might be interested in Bale and some definitely will be. That's fine, it just puts the price up even more.

For us it was great when City came in for Berbatov, because we got Man U over a barrel and Levy spanked their bottoms good and proper.

If Bale doesn't want to leave, he'll stay, despite all the pathetic Hammers fans crying in their beer and thinking otherwise.

If he wants out, then it's all about how much money we can get.

Absolutely not. Surely this would send the message that we're all shitting ourselves that he's about to leave and therefore consider ourselves a small tin-pot outfit of a club?

Maybe if he starts on about it in the press or goes on strike like Berbs or behaves like a cunt like Modric then fair enough, but I see no sign whatsoever that he's about to do one.

There's an article in the guardian today that says it all very well, I thought. I think it's been linked in this thread already but anyone who rolls out the tired, old "one man team" argument should be directed to it.

We'll get as high as we can in the league and go as far as we can in the Europa League. At Spurs he is a main man, if he stays he can be an absolute legend and he is aware of it and he's a family man as well with a newborn family member.. Where can he go from us and expect the same? I see only two clubs and there he would be one of many as crazy it that sounds at the moment.

There will be enough stories about Bale leaving as it is. I think it would be wiser not to automatically expect Bale to go. Therefore I don't think we should treat it as inevitable like some parts of the media want us too. Ignore that shit. He hasn't said he's going to leave us, so let's not act insecure. He was born to play for Spurs, let's rather keep singing THAT!

Exactly, I'm no bothered about this stuff at all. There is not the slightest chance in the world that Bale isn't aware he's a 'hot property'. It's up to him how he deals with it, as long as he's playing brilliantly for us, that's all I care about. He's bringing us points and if necessary, more cash.

In fact I now see some of the papers/websites are getting it through their thick skulls just how good he is.

In stead of the laughable £30/40m some were talking about, they're now getting into Levy territory with talk of £70m. That's the sort of price we'll want IF Bale wants to leave.

Well said, plus I like that tune. I HATE that other poxy tune, which we hear time and again with different lyrics. It's a shit dirge of a song, horrible, horrible, horrible.
