Ex-Spurs Player Gareth Bale

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

singing we want you to stay in any shape or form is cringeworthy imvho
Normally I would agree. But when they sung it for Harry at the Newcastle game last season, it felt as if there was a unity among fans that is rarely seen (don't ask me why). The good atmosphere seemed to help us that night. So, from that point of view, I have no problem with it if makes fans unified and gives the player a confidence boost in a match.

At least nobody sings "we want you to leave"!

Yeah the context was quite different, we were all riding Harry's post-acquital high at the Newcastle game last year so it was all very... celebratory or something? Quite a love-in.

Yep, I made an effort to get to that game, because I wanted to sing for Harry too, and yes I even sang THAT tune.

Mind you it didn't annoy me so much then, but its constant repetioin in different guises is driving me nuts.

Ollie Holt in the Mirror this morning say his top three for player of the year are RVP Michu and Suarez, says he can't include Bale because of all the diving.

It's going to be impossible to ignore for the next few months... basically, if he keeps up the form he's in, the calls for him to 'come to Madrid' will get ever louder, and we'll lose arguably one of our greatest players of recent years...

:balesnarl:

...but if, for some Harry-esque reason, all the speculation gets too distracting, putting him off his game and his form plummets, then whether he ends up leaving or not, WE'LL still suffer the consequences...

:harryfacepalm:

either way, we don't come out of it well... unless he continues playing well AND ends up staying of course!
