I think just some players are not cut out for this league, I would bet large sums of money that he is injured again before Maddision comes back and if he somehow stays Injury free till January we should take full advantage and cash in on him why we can.

Unlike almost every other league, we have 2 domestic cups and (most seasons) European football. Some leagues have less than 20 teams too. More games, more often.
The speed of the premier league is higher than most leagues, and the likeliness of being tackled is higher than, say, Italy or Spain, where a lot of teams play unchallenged for large periods. The tackles might not be dirty, but more of them increases the risk of an injury.
That thrown in with what refs tend to let go in the PL vs all European leagues AND European tournaments means players do get knocked about more here.
