Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can't understand how posters are on here demanding at least £150million for him, then going on to say how he doesn't turn up in the biggest games??

Kinda contradicts.
I think a but of thermal is disappointment/sadness/anger manifesting as petulance.

I'm also not sure many of those contradictory posts necessarily come from the same people, however one could feasibly feel like he does go missing in the big games but his contributions in the oth games still make him worth that much to us.

Especially when the clubs recent track record of signing strikers is Janssen, Llorente, Vinicius...

Kane goes, game over for me. Don’t want to watch him in any shirt in the prem next season and won’t be investing any more money in Spurs. Not sure Spurs fans realise how damaging this will be. People with their head in the sand and the bullshit of “we are Spurs and we will move on”, fuck off!!!! You are the problem. You should be spitting feathers at the board and Levy for letting this happen. Punish them where it matters, in their pockets. If they can’t be assed to invest and show our best player ambition, then why should we bother.
Fans who won't stop supporting Spurs because one player leaves are not the problem...

Not giving up on supporting the club and being angry at losing the best player aren't mutually exclusive.

So you’re a Kane fanboy not a Spurs one then.

Delete your account and fuck off.

I want Enic out but I’m still Spurs first ahead of some misguided loyalty to individual players.

Time you fucked off to blue moon where you belong you plastic.

Agree with this. Think this will be a culmination of ENIC plays that see me move to part time fan

If we can get 120 cash up front I'd take it and reinvest. To me Kane's kind of gone already. It won't be the same if he stays. He's been going around telling people he's desperate to leave for the last year. I can never think of him in the same way after that. I'd rather have the money at this point to be honest.

The problem I see is that the tops clubs are all really going to want Haaland, and Kane will be the second choice. He's much younger than Kane and would potentially give much better value for money. So the fact Kane would be 2nd choice for the likes of City and United would probably mean that they wouldn't go crazy to sign him while Haaland is still at Dortmund, unless they get desperate. And with Cavani signing on for another year with United and Pepe tinkering for months without an actual striker on the pitch, I don't think either of those two clubs are.
Although I agree Haaland is better value for money and would be any sensible clubs first choice - there is 1 thing that people don't mention.

Kane has scored 165 Premier League goals over 7and a bit seasons.
Haaland has scored 38 Bundesliga goals over 2 seasons.

Werner scored 78 in 127 for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga over 4 seasons - stick him in a high quality Chelsea team and he has 6 Premier League goals in 33 games.
Those goals in Germany don't automatically translate to Premier League goals.

Although I believe Haaland would score more goals than Werner here (has done it in the Champions League more then Werner did at RB), Kane is guaranteed Premier League goals.
There's no unknown quantity about him.

If for example, I were Pep and had the option to bring in Haaland or Kane for 1-2 years, no transfer fees, no salary or re sale value to worry about - I would pick Kane.

Where? I haven't seen this confirmed at all... I don't think anybody knows this, even if it is true...
He was having a great season under Jose, so probably wasn't doing this at all....

From the Athletic:

"Harry Kane is determined to end his 17-year association with Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and hopes chairman Daniel Levy will grant him the transfer he first wanted last year. But as much as Kane wants to leave — and multiple sources have told The Athletic he has been “desperate” to get out of the club for some time — he knows that the power is not in his hands."

Not gonna lie. It hurts a bit to read that shit. But football it’s a business at the end of day.

If he goes Tottenham Hotspur have nobody to blame bar themselves they’ve had ample opportunity to build a team around him in fact they’ve had time to build two teams over the last 4/6 seasons but chose to skimp, scrape and pennypinch. In saying that its his choice if he wants to leave we can’t blame him but at the end of the day he’s not going to be around forever anyway whether we us or no I’m sure the club will survive.

A link would be helpful, but regardless, this is unconfirmed. May or may not be true, but there has been no public desperation to leave whatsoever. Even if true that he wants to leave, it doesn't mean he's been saying it to everyone for a year, because I haven't heard a single other soul from his orbit, or our club say that he's been saying this.

Well Haaland has yet to prove himself in a top league of course, but he just has all the tools you would want in a world-class striker. I wouldn't have any worry about him going to England, Italy or Spain for a top club and scoring bucket fulls of goals. But it's why I've always rated Kane as highly as I do, and even higher than many Spurs fans. His record compares to Lewandowski's, that's despite him playing for a much worse side, with far worse players and in a much more difficult and taxing league. I know Lewandowski hasn't always played for Bayern but he's been there for 7 years now, and before that he played for a fantastic Dortmund side under Klopp. Both of those sides would hammer us.

I still think Werner will go on to score plenty of goals for Chelsea if they stick with him. He'll never be prolific in the shots to goals conversion sense though.
