I can't see how anyone doesn't recognize different possible responses here. Fair enough, you're not upset that he wants to go. Fine.
But I love Spurs. I loved Spurs before Kane came along, and I'll love them after. It'd be one thing if he was pushing for a move to Europe. But by all accounts, he wants to stay in the PL. Which is effectively saying: "I've given my all to trying to win with this club, but we weren't able to do it, so in the remaining years I have left, I want to give my all instead to a different club whose goal is (among other things) to ensure that my long-time club doesn't win." My view is: fuck that. Sorry.
And if someone gets tired of being a bridesmaid, fine. So they go off, to be a mercenary on a team of mercenaries, to hold up a trophy in front of fans who don't give a shit about you. That's one path. Another path is to stick with the club that's in your blood, in front of fans who worship you, who will build statues for you and sing your name, and if you don't win a trophy, there's a nobility to the effort the other mercenary path can never achieve. I admire that second path a hell of a lot more.
