Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah let’s get him shape for his dream January transfer at our facilities and expense

Fuck that, go and travel you’re the “best striker on the planet”

If Kane isn’t fit then he’s showing yet again how selfish he is by not admitting it and getting himself in shape. There is no way any professional manager asks the player “are you good to go” he says “no” and is then forced out there anyway.

If he’s fit for us, he can fuck off to Eastern Europe and be fit for England
Its not about getting fit, he needs to work with Conte on patterns of play and work on his movement and finishing.

Really don't understand your anger. You need to work on that pal.

He’s 28 and supposedly a world class striker, yet suddenly he doesn’t understand how to play football and only Conte can save him?

He’s shit.

If you don’t understand my anger, then maybe you lack passion. Probably need to work on that or you’ll just be content with a slug up top

and a running coach. No joke, I bet there are Olympic coaches that could get him that extra yard back.
He has always run around like he does now, even 3 or 4 years ago when he was smashing them in for fun. Look at pics of him as a kid, look at videos of him breaking through into the first team, he has always been on the heavy side and never lean, mean and rapid like an Henry or Ronaldo for example.

Right now with Kane it's all about his mindset. That's what he needs to work on alongside working on moves on the training pitch with Conte.

Stop being a prat, it's embarrassing. Have a wank or something, you need to release all that pent up energy.

I would imagine that any sport that's literally awash with money will be full of scientific analysis. Whether it's actually put to maximum effect is moot.

In endurance sports like road cycling it's a huge factor because marginal gains make a big difference to performance which translates to sponsorship.

In football it's more likely that VO2 max and LT numbers are all captured and analysed and then:

Sports Science Dept: "You're numbers are 15% down Harry"
HK: " I can walk can't I?"
Sport Science Dept: "Good to go"
yeah I get the feeling it very much runs like that. What I don't understand is why more science isn't put into practice. When you look at Tanguy it's obvious diet and fitness is impacting his game. I would love to know how their sports science department runs, and how tailored to each player it is.

I'm a cyclist and am acutely aware of the marginal gains, and for professionals it translates into sponsorship, and wins. I'm not sure it is fundamentally any different in football though.

For all the money football has, some of their methods seems very backwards.

for sure but he was sharper and quicker.

Last 3 managers really. Kane played the CL final...while clearly being unfit.
Yeah but Poch did have the general team fitness at a high level. I think at that stage he thought an unfit/injured Kane was still the best option.

Under Conte, Kane doesn't start the CL Final... not with fitness issues...

mind you, under Conte we've gotta get there first!!

Why? Because it’s Kane? Of course because it’s Kane…..you don’t mind people slagging off managers or Levy or Moura.

Just not Kane.
And that’s the problem with this club. We will see what Conte is really made of soon enough, a striker in January should be a priority.

A striker may be the priority but until we get to January I'd like to see all our players work smarter and harder and fully buy into Conte's training. Surely that's the best thing for the club? Yeah Kane needs to work his ass off in training, yes he at least needs to recapture that goalscoring ability he had. Whatever you think of Kane right now we don't have anyone better as back up and it's not like we can play without a centre forward because our other attackers are not very good at putting the ball in the back of the net. Bad recruitment is the reason for this.

If you want to spend hours and hours everyday slagging off Kane the go ahead and fill yer boots. I don't see the point tbh.

I think we've already seen what Conte is made of... we need to see what the Players are made of under Conte!

Some players clearly downed tools for the last 2 managers (and the last days of Poch, lest we forget!) so who exactly is it the players will deem 'worthy' of working for? I'm genuinely interested!

If Conte doesn’t sign a striker or drop Kane at some point then my views of him will have to be readjusted

''Spurs are shit because the fans rate Kane''

sammyspurs sammyspurs I think you've made your point and some people don't agree but the fans aren't the ones selecting the team, so go write a letter to Conte and tell him where he's going wrong.

Another anonymous Harry Kane show presents Antonio Conte’s biggest Tottenham puzzle to solve

The absence of one England forward at Goodison Park only accentuated the ineffectiveness of the other on the pitch.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t played a minute of Premier League football since the end of August, yet he has still scored more goals than Harry Kane - or more accurately, what is shaping up as a C-rate tribute act to the Tottenham striker.

Antonio Conte realised the scale of his renovation job on Sunday, and circled the attacking output of his new side as a chief concern. The entire offensive approach - how to transition quickly, switches of play, use of width, exploiting the half-spaces, being more direct and crafting phases of build-up - will need to be constructed on the training pitches over the international break.

But the Italian will not have the luxury of remedying perhaps the biggest on-pitch concern: the nothingness of Kane.

England’s captain will be away on national team duty, a consequences of his past contributions for club and country rather than his off-coloured reality.

Kane, who very publicly wanted to depart for Manchester City in the summer and still seems to be dealing with the after-effects of the move falling through, has drastically faded.

His shot numbers, touches in the opposition box, key passes and all offensive metrics are severely below his average for this stage of a campaign.

While the 28-year-old was more involved against Everton – in the first half anyway – than during any point under Nuno Espirito Santo, his lack of speed, movement, and effectiveness in possession was alarming.

Kane’s strength in duels is also currently also a memory: he contested 11 of them on Sunday and won just 36%.

The striker’s average position was as deep as Allan’s for Everton and beyond one created chance with a right-wing cross, he offered nothing to the midfield that he resided in nor to the attack he was meant to be powering.

Kane completed one pass in the box and a lowly total of nine in the attacking third. He made just seven sprints and what none of these numbers describe is the detrimental impact on Son Heung-Min’s game.

The South Korean has been stunted and it is hard to argue with great conviction that both he and Spurs haven’t performed with more clarity and purpose in attack without Kane this season.

Tottenham’s marksman insists he is not worried about his form and is certain Conte can improve him.

The new manager is revered for his magic touch in rejuvenating and enhancing players. If he is able to achieve that with this version of Kane, it would rank among his most important and spellbinding feats.

Hmmm no Spurs are shit because of a declining squad and repeated transitional periods and the point blank refusal to give our striker competition over 7 years.

Finally we have upgraded the RB position. It took years.
We haven’t had a consistently good LB since Rose was good in about 2017

We have Dier as CB. We have no high end DM. The reasons are endless, but we replaced Sissoko, we replaced Winks, we replaced Aurier.
We sub off Son, we rotate Moura, we drop Ndombele, we sold Lamela, we bought Romero, we got in Skipp.

We didn’t try to address the striker though.

Do the fucking maths
