Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

... ... ... Kane has shut up ALL the critics especially the dopey ones on this forum.
Sorry but this is just nonsense. Look, I'm one of Kane's biggest fans, both my heart and my head say that he will turn it around this season at some point, and I'll be the first to celebrate when that happens, but to suggest that he's done it tonight, and has 'shut up ALL the critics' is just stupid. He needs to do it in a Spurs shirt again, and consistently, not just a good game once a month. Fingers crossed we'll see the start of that against Leeds.

Needs to do it against an average PL side a few times before I say he’s back. So far, every time we play a decent side, he looks like the slowest player on the pitch.

Albania, Pacos and Mura are not a real teams.

We've seen this Kane before a few times this season.

Against Pacos (hattrick in 20 mins) and Mura (brace), and a good performance against relegation level Newcastle. All three times fans thought we was back.

Now he has another good performance against Albania who's defenders are collectively worth 3.5 million.

The question is, can he do it against an average/decent PL side. That's been the question this season and this Algeria performance doesn't address that question.

It still remains to be seen.
A hat trick against the 22 men of Albania and Algeria is not to be sniffed at, finding space was difficult

He will probably be bang average for us in our next game. I've said it before and will continue to do so, our current side will make any striker look much, much worse than he is. Until we actually sign some creativity he won't shine no matter what his mental state is. Put genuine quality in the same team as him and his own genuine quality will come to the fore. Good players play much better with better players around them, and that won't ever change.

I'm one of those who wants to let kane leave. He wants out and has zero interest in leading our attack anymore. I don't blame him, levy has fckd enough people over in his time so it's no real surprise its ended like this. The fact that Kane played the way and where he played tonight (the opposition is irrelevant) showed hes more than capable but its his desire and inclination that have gone when it comes to us.

Would love to see everything change at spurs - but it won't. His head and heart ain't with us anymore - no resentment of Kane but utter hatred of uncle fester.

England are a much better team than what we've been for a while. We don't have a Foden in our team, not even close. And England's wing-backs are two levels above ours.

Look at where he scored from today and think how many opportunities he has had in similar areas this season for us. There are less than 5 likely, if that.

He’s scored 1 league goal in our 11 league games and that was against the only winless team in the league, Newcastle.

As a team, only bottom of the table Norwich have scored fewer goals in the league than our 9.

I couldn’t care less how many he scores against Albania or San Marino. A few in the league in a Spurs jersey are long overdue.

Slowest player. he's done it against average prem sides. He's scored against every prem opposition to he's faced

He's never been blessed with pace. Not every player is.

Love how you think it's up to you to decide when he's back.

He's been shit and out of form. I get that, but you want him gone and out of sight. remember, he's done. Don't start crawling back for some credibility if he turns his form around.

He had more attempts tonight than he probably has for us all season. It's not because of a lack of effort. Just that one is a very good team, and the other (us) simply isn't. Not to say Harry shouldn't have a word with himself for some of his performances this season, he's not been good enough individually so far. But he clearly loves playing for England, and why wouldn't he with the quality they have throughout the side and the team spirit they have? Put the likes of Foden, James and Chilwell in our team and you'll see a different HK.

Hopefully Conte can bring us our own great team spirit soon, and then add a few quality players which are desperately needed.

Yeah but Prem defenders put a challenge in.

Sure but he has shown in the past that he can deal with that.

My point is that it wasn't like he was picking up the ball at halfway, charging past the whole defense and rifling it top corner showing some massive desire that we are missing here.

I didn't see a difference in effort but a difference in quality of those around him.

I’m not expecting him to being a world class striker. That’s done for.

I do expect him to be a 13-18 goal, 3-5 assist type of player over the next couple of seasons though.

He’s physically deteriorating. He regularly gets bullied by PL level defenders.
