Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wow, some Spurs fans are really acting liking jilted lovers, never thought I'd see it.

Modern way though, build them up then knock them down.

I thought our fanbase was better than this but turns out we're actually a load of cunts.

Very sad to see.
No not jilted, just disappointed that someone would dump on their former club, without taking any responsibility for their own failing's.

He’s really not telling any truth as there is less pressure on them winning anything than there is a big club like our, as for Bayern and their one horse league there is less pressure because just as night follows day they will just win something the following season, there will be zero prestige to him winning anything for that club bar the CL,he really shouldn’t be direspecting and making up porkies about the club that made him, ditto Poch although not so much him it’s Room 101 for Kane as far as I’m concerned..
Disagree on this - Bayern don’t win the title until the last day and their CEO, DoF and manager get the sack. Still win the title mind you. People’s jobs being on the line makes for a pressure filled/must get results environment.

We finish eighth - and by contrast, Daniel and Donna are secure as ever in their positions and Conte only goes because he basically sacks himself and Daniel keeps Conte’s wingman around until things get truly diabolical. Makes for a pretty comfortable/tranquil environment.

I know ENIC aren’t going anywhere but I really wish Levy would step away from active management of the club - active owners seem mostly to be a disaster- Exhibit A = Daniel - Exhibit B = Todd B.

An owner as CEO means there’s no accountability since he’s not going to sack himself for bad results. No accountability at the top filters down which means no urgency and you know the rest …

This is what Kane was talking about - and he’s right. It’s probably part of the reason why deadwood players are so content to hang about our club like no other.

Sometimes some people...

It was obvious that his golden boot at the worldcup was a pile of nonsense. 2 real goals vs tunisia , the rest were deflections and penalties where he put in almost no work. But everyone here were talking about this golden boot as if it was the greatest thing ever. Suddenly all his other real achievements mean nothing because he has left.

Clowns.

Here's a potentially tense topic for the forum to debate. If Sonny wins us a trophy, is he a greater club legend than top scorer Kane?

Like, Kane's individual numbers clearly make him the on paper better player. But Son has a lot of memorable goals and games to his name instead.
Of course he would in my eyes.

Kane played as a central striker that took all the penalties, but also free kicks he had no right to.
Son played mostly on the left yet has still scored very respectable numbers.

'Greater club legends' are not all about goals. They can be any position on the field.

Kane played 317 Premier League games for us. Son has played 272.
Next season Son will likely have played more Premier League games for Spurs.

213 goals vs 106 in the league - 33 of which were penalties.
Switch those penalties around and you have 180 vs 139 goals. Again could see Son surpass Kane's league goal tally excluding penalties within 2-3 years - WITHOUT playing as the middle man everything goes through.

And that's just the numbers.

Yes. He already is.

Reason being, he plays for Tottenham and rejected a big money move to continue doing so even though we were in the worst position that we’ve been in whilst he was at the club. Kane was looking for a move for the last 3 seasons and acted like a dickhead at times trying to do get one. Now, he has his move and he’s still acting like a dickhead.

There are people on here who seemingly support Harry Kane more than they do Tottenham. It’s sad and pathetic but I expect nothing else from the internet. It’s like pining over an ex girlfriend who decides to go out and bang loads of other guys.

Nothing will change the player Kane was, he scored a fuck load of goals. But as a man, he’s deeply flawed. I am glad he left and I hope he wins fuck all. I support Tottenham, not Harry Kane.

No one will be more deserving of a trophy than Sonny. I just hope it hurts Kane when we do it.

Is he taking pot shots or, like Conte before him, simply telling the truth?

Do you believe there is a winning culture at this club? Do you think the owners are desperate for trophies and their every waking moment revolves around trying to make us the best in the land?

.

I really don’t get this though. Do you think the owners don’t want to win? We’re in a very good league with a lot of good sides.

I presume you can only have a winning mentality if you win something (or no?)

Winning would make the club more valuable and would make us more money, why wouldn’t the owners want that?!

also we hired managers like conte and Jose - surely they’re people win winning mentality. Did levy give the team talk before Forest in the league cup last year or Sheff U in the fa cup or Milan in the CL?

Does levy leave little postings around the club that say ‘don’t worry lads a smile is a good as a win!’ Do you think these professional players go into games thinking ‘the owner’s not bothered so neither am I?’ Is this the accusation.

I just find it all so strange. I agree the correct mentality should be from top to bottom. It should be in every player, coach, owner Etc. I remember Keane saying he didn’t play for the manager or the owners he played for himself, his team mates and the Fans!

I know for us fans losing two games is a disaster. I’m not gonna dig out Kane but the idea that losing two games wasn’t the end of the world reflects on him, the players the coaches and everyone.

Tbh there’s way too much talk about this - appreciate the irony of my saying this as I waffle on. It’s the pitfalls of the international break. There’s nothing to talk about.

Without a doubt.

It’s one of the reasons I say Hoddle is the greatest Spurs player of the colour TV era.

What good are the individual achievements without silverware?

What’s the first image of Ledley King that comes to mind? Him with the league cup.

This has been talked about endlessly - The answer is - Of course, they’d like to win - just like I’d like to have 6 pack abs - BUT with football ownership and winning as with most of the things in life, the real question is whether you want “it”enuf to do what it takes to achieve “it”.

Again it’s been talked about endlessly so not really interested in getting into it - but many Spurs supporters would argue the answer to that real question when it comes to ENIC and winning is no.

The fighting cunts, tldr edition:

"Sixth place wiv Ange this season would be ve-wee good wood ant it?"

Also

"Ow can Hawee say dem fings about winning don't matter at Spurs. Wot a dumb cunt."

In the immortal words of Bill Hicks "kill yourselves."

No one around him can read spurs forums if he thinks losing two in a row isn’t a disaster!

Whatever - Harry didn’t say anything that isn’t true. ENIC don’t have the ambition equivalent to the ninth biggest club in the world. ENIC’s target is Top 4 - not trophies. We don’t act like a big club. None of this is controversial - so not sure why people are getting upset about Harry’s comments.

Meanwhile, he could have done us over by leaving on a free next year to a rival and pocketed a huge signing on fee or tried to force Levy to take less money to move to a team in England - instead he showed respect to the club by leaving the country and we maximized our transfer fee - To the delight of Alan Shearer.

Don’t care how he does in Germany because my affection for him died with the Carragher interview - but I still respect him and he’ll have my support when he’s in the England shirt.
I'm annoyed by it because he's saying this when he was part of the leadership team that allowed that mentality. Hugo was captain in name but Kane shoulders just as much responsibility for the shrug of the shoulders "we go again" mentality.
