Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Jesus. It’s not like he included one he scored for Bayern and there’s been fucking plenty of them now.

Except the very first goal he mentioned in that piece was one for Bayern - and he said it was the best goal he's ever scored. It was decent, but I'd say the goal against the Goons from the tight angle into the top corner was far better (and that's just one example)

Oh fair, I thought they were all England goals. It was from the halfway line to be fair and people tend to overrate those. He tried it about 500 times here.

The guy is a huge patriot. Insanely proud of his country and playing for it. He’s country over club. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Spurs but the guy is pure England.

Love him for it - he’s a dying breed in this country.

Fair enough mate.

They don't call me the Grinch for nothing. Mind you they don't call me the Grinch!!

International football is great and deserves support and protection. Kane's a particularly fervent example, but in general the players love playing for their countries and are more of the driving force behind the international game than the moneyed interests who keep fucking everything up.

Which is why I prefer international football and always have .. the players all ultimately are there predominantly because they want to be, not because of wages. There is no ‘oh my nation isn’t very good I’ll transfer’ unless you’re Diego Costa.

It has many many issues and politics but its players loving the shirt.

Do you know how much more money in wages (from clubs) and sponsors because you play for England. It's huge amounts and why players want to play international.

I don't actually believe that but thought I would try and ruin it for you

I understand but I love the tribalism of club football ;)

No need for the reminder, it's why I said wages from their clubs and sponsorship deals.
I only found this out when I watched a YouTube video of an Ex-England goalkeeper went into what it's like being paid as an England international...he also said it was a relatively new thing (I'm paraphrasing). I researched it myself and...

England's national team players have been donating their match appearance fees to charity since 2007/8, with the England Footballers Foundation distributing over £5 million to various charities.

There was a push a little while ago for women players to be paid the same as men for playing for England. They missed this fact
