Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I refuse to believe he's the catalyst for our recent poor run...
YES we haven't won since he's been back, but he's scored in 3 out of 4 of those games... (Burnley 1-1, ArseAnal 1-1, Southampton 1-0)
HAD we shut up shop after all 3 of those goals, we'd be 4 points better off than we are now...
That's not on him, that's on the defence!
He's done his job... 3 goals in 4 games would have Phil Thompson creaming all over Jamie Carraghers face if that were Salah!
But as it is... we haven't been able to capitalise from all but his equaliser against the Scum... and that was only cos of Lloris!

Harry has nothing to do with our poor results recently, apart from the occasional poor finishing like we saw withna few efforts yesterday. The way we play, our style of play etc is far better when he is the main guy and on the field than if he isn't.

Yes we won all four when he was injured but we scraped every one of those games, we hardly dominated did we? Some of our poor results have been because we had tricky games, some are because we were 2nd best on the day and some are because of game management when controlling the game or because of reckless individual mistakes. Harry is one of the best strikers around, anyone saying he is a reason for our slump isn't interested in football, they see results and point shallow fingers if results don't go their way.

Sonny was scoring in large volumes well before Harry got injured, do people look at that when analysing the sudden change? It's down to a lack of sharpness in the mind and in the teeth, the team is a little flat for whatever reason but Harry definitely isn't a cause to this issue, it's a collective confidence problem because we're a little deflated as a football club at the moment. The energy in our play and our heads isn't quite right and it's making us a little sluggish all over where other teams are hungry for points at both ends of the table.

Rose made a big mistake yesterday yet people blame our transfer policies for losing games like that etc. I'd love someone to tell me about a left back we could afford that would be better than Rose at the moment if that's the reason we lost yesterday. Should we have signed someone yes of course but I've always said that yet I've always believed that if they were too costly it was for the greater good of the club that we didn't take that kind of risk. It's a transition period and we are still well in the mix for top 4, I think that the club collectively needs to put the last month behind them and focus on football now. No more distractions, just focus on doing what we know we are capable of and getting as many wins from the last 8 games as possible.

For the tv pundits or media newspapers etc they would probably rather have the Harry Kane league goal leader instead of the Spurs the champion. It probably suites the whole industry better, just like when he came back and scored goals. All the headlines were raving, Harry Kane, harry Kane, Carry on Harry. What do they want him to carry on? who are they by the way? ex united? gooners?

Newsflash: Strikers will not score every chance. And defenders will make mistakes. If our defence didn't make errors, our midfield didn't needlessly lose possession, and our strikes didn't miss chances, we'd win the league. But so would Huddersfield. It's an entirely pointless conversation.

Not sure i agree Harry! Given the strength of the competition in the Nations League, but comparing the comparative worth of the two competitions, winning it might just about equal finishing 4th in the World Cup. Not more than that though IMO.

It's very difficult to say how high up this Nations League trophy will be valued with the first actual tournament still yet to be played. There's been a few that have come and gone in the past that didn't have much value, this one however seems a little bit different in its format so it'll be fascinating to see how it matures over the years.

What I do think is winning a tournament where the potential winners could have been Spain, Croatia, France, Holland, Portugal, Germany, Belgium & Italy would be a great thing for some of the English players who don't get much silverware at club level.

Whilst the 4 teams left gives the tournament a pretty open look to it, deep down I fancy the powers that be were gutted the final four wasn't more star studded. A France, Spain, Italy & Belgium tournament in the summer would have drawn far more attention in its inaugural year than the teams its ended up having. Still, if we win it it should be celebrated as it'll breed confidence and get that monkey of many players backs. For Harry, lifting the first trophy of his career as England captain would be excellent for him, I just don't know how important this cup will be seen as in years to come. It really does depend on how this tournament matures over the next 8-16 years

I thought this Nations cup was pretty much a friendly tournament? Did anyone ever care about it? Pretty sure most people couldn't tell you the format of it, who was in whos group and whos still in it.

What a pass by Kane in the lead up to the first England goal. Just shows how versatile he is as a player.

But what I still can't understand is the trolls on social media. Where does all the hate for Harry Kane come from?
