Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The media would have you believe that utd are the favourites. In reality they haven’t won anything of note since Fergie left and Kane would be going to win trophies.

He won’t want another project.
The Europa?
If it's a choice between us and Man U he will choose Man U. Even if they aren't winning trophies, they have the ambition to do so and the money to back it up.

Harry Kane to Manchester United

Sami Mokbel of the MailOnline described how Kane is available for £200 million and is keen on the idea of moving to United.

There's plenty of truth to this one. Members of United's hierarchy would love to have Kane in attack, and they do have money to spend.

So para #1 is cooberated by the claim that Utd. would "love to have" Harry?

Fabulous journalism.....

Ooooops, sorry.... I meant utter, United sponsored wank.

Have to disagree with that, how you can say he would choose Utd over us with such conviction I just don’t understand. There’s no evidence to suggest this unless you are talking about in 2-3 years time when/if they become established winners again.

I would agree that right this second they look to be on a better path than us, but a few months ago the roles were reversed and these things change very quickly. With the right investment (not even mega money just smart money) we could easily get back in front of them. Ole also has the potential to derail their season at any given moment as he’s such an inconsistent manager.

If Kane cannot get a move to a team that are guaranteed to win trophies then I absolutely believe he will choose to stay here where he is worshipped. He is one of our own after all.

Just to be clear I think the stars will align for him to get his move eventually perhaps in 2 years when he has 2 years left, but I cannot see it being to UTD in their current state.

They have money to throw at problems we don't. They can get rid of Ole and have the pick of the best managers in the world. I agree they are not guaranteed to win trophies but we've been 12 years without winning anything, we'll have a manager who will be starting the second year of a three year contract, with a shaky defence and team. Mourinho has to work miracles with the team he has, there won't be any big rebuild, that is more true now than ever. I don't see it working out, thus if he fails, i think Kane is gone.

I agree Kane will leave which is what I ended with there, but none of what you said reinforces the idea that “UTD will be favourites” or that “Kane would choose UTD over us”.

They need to be winning titles in order for either of those statements to be true in my opinion.

Kane will get the move he wants and deserves to a club that can deliver what he wants, no point in being a fans favourite as you can't show that to your friends and family when he retires.

They don't. Liverpool is way ahead of everybody else and we won't be selling to them. If he's not winning the title with Man Utd he will have a decent chance of winning a cup or two before the end of his career. If City want him there is every chance he could end up there.

Club needs to start matching his ambition or quite rightly he will be off to someone who will.

Suprise, suprise; nowhere in the quotes does Lucas say anything about "doing more to match his ambitions"....

He just says how important and how good Harry is:

...One can even tell from the first line of the back-page posted that this would be the case if one went on to read the article.

What your insinuating is that one has not read the article in question, but you have ignored the fact that I like others have mentioned he might leave regardless of any news clickbait.
Again I can understand if he wants to go if he is ambitious if trophies isn't his driver then he can stay at spurs and be a legend, BTW glad to see you back mate.

I read the back page, was skeptical and dug further and posted my findings.

Sorry to anyone that prefers spin, paranoia and/or ignorance. :mourbye:

Curious though... Why quote the back-page image in your post if your comments aren't inspired by it?

Back from where?

No I'm not.

Some people will always believe in rumours however I tread my own path which might not make me popular but I can live with that, I suppose isolation plays a part in this and no football to talk about.

The biggest clubs will still have money, the three he would consider are United, City and Madrid. United will be the favorites. Who knows what kind of player will be mentally and physically in a years time.

I just don’t see any logic for him in departing to Man U. The reason that keeps getting trotted out for a move is to win trophies. They’re as far away as we are in that regard and Solskjaer is not the man man to restore past glories there.

If he wants to stay in the premier league, where else is he going to go? Realistically, the only EPL teams that any elite player would want to play for are Liverpool, City, Spurs, Utd and maybe Chelsea. Kane would have to fight for a spot on Liverpool and City and both clubs wouldn't be dumb enough to pay a massive premium for a striker with injury histories which leaves Kane with Utd, Chelsea and Spurs to choose from. Between Utd and Chelsea, I think you gotta go with Utd. His options are really limited if you think about it.

I’d agree with you. I think Harry has missed the boat in terms of a move. I suspect with all his injuries the likes of Real Madrid and City who he was regularly linked with a few seasons back would be quite wary of him now.

Nah, City have their own thank you very much.
