Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All Kane said essentially was he wants to see the team around him improving - which is what most fans have wanted since we peaked in 2016/17 - sadly our transfer policy hasn't reflected that and instead gone the other way
Sadly Mr levy and many fans on here don't see it that way apparently we spent a bit of money in the summer, so nothing to see here is the narrative being countered.😁👍

That's silly talk; of course everyone wants to see us improve. To recognise this past summer as an effort to do so doesn't suggest the contrary.
Not having a go at you mate, but the damage was done in previous windows so if the club were keen to push on that moment was there.
But now a lot of work is required with little funds an average squad along with a board that is not overly ambitious.

We’d get with the money at least 3 strikers in, a experienced player 26/27 years old a young buck with potential and maybe older guy Llorente type as back up so......every cloud

Whoever your comment was alluding to, my point remains the same.....

Moving fwd, there's no correlation between your previous post and your comments in this one.

Could we have spent more in the previous 2 windows? The debate is there to be had, but there's a credible explantion why we didn't.

Harry must be thrilled then with the £150 odd million we’ve spent in signing five new players over the course of this season. Just a shame that it takes nearly all our signings years to bed in to whatever way it is we play.

Most are dross - and indicate remarkable lack of ambition, sorry mate - Gedson Fernandes instead of say Joao Felix - deary me...

There is no correlation between ENIC in twenty years ever producing a successful football club.

If we sell Kane, we should just put Sonny up top. If really needed, we can add another winger to “replace” Sonny. Then use the proceeds from selling Kane to rebuild in weaker areas. We’ve shown we can win without Kane and Sonny can pick up some of the production in Kane’s absence. We really aren’t that far off in terms of competing week in week out. A couple good signings and time to gel without Kane will get us back to our winning ways.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaawn.

Sonny, Bergwijn, Dele, Lucas, Lo Celso, NDombele, Lamela plus another signing up front should be enough goal scoring talent and depth to compete for a top four spot. What we really need to do is sort out our back and maybe add another creative playmaker which we might be able to do if we free up transfer funds.
None of those say 'Guaranteed 20 goals a season'.
Not even Son...

Better yet, none of those say link up play, score 20 a season, talisman and basically be captain on the field.

I'm not even entertaining the idea of selling Kane, doing so before he hits 30 would be the worst thing this club could bar some unforeseen circumstances.
Only a numpty would entertain it.

Build the team around Kane for the next few years and feed the monster.

Sonny gets 20 a season and all of his goals have been from open play. Have him take penalties and be the point up front and he gets 25-30 a season easily.

We have built a team around Kane and it lasted 5+ years. While we’ve seen good results, it that hasn’t translated into trophies. I’m not sure if we will ever get to where we were a couple seasons ago if we try to rebuild around Kane - there’s just too much to do and realistically, we won’t have transfer funds to start any sort of rebuild without selling Kane.
