Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ferguson said it himself - Levy is only interested in what's best for Tottenham. clear from the doc - he didn't want to sell Eriksen, he wanted him to stay and would match wages elsewhere. United offered more for Madrid than Bale and Levy still accepted Madrid offer.

Levy only sells players when they are determined to leave. Levy accepted less from Madrid for Modric than Chelsea offered a year earlier -

This "Levy only cares about money" thing while true to an extent - Tottenham being successful is the best thing for Money.
Perhaps but NO investment is not going to make them successful .

Great post.

I can't see Levy sanctioning a Kane move to our rival. I think he's also learned from the one time he did (Walker) and Walker can barely lace Kane's shoes.

Very good post. I find it unbelievable that on a supposedly Spurs forum that supposedly Spurs supporters would actually support Kane leaving. Sky are a disgrace and whilst I cannot bring myself to cancel the subscription and go back to dodgy streams, I only watch the match and not any of the chat.
I don't see support. I see reasonable expectations.

If Kane chooses to leave for Man U he’s dead to me. Not sure how the rest of you feel. City I could live with and their dirty oil money but United and Golem the PE Teacher. Fuck off.

As bad as Sky Sports and the scum media want it to happen I’d respect it if Levy applied a scorched earth policy stopping that transfer from ever happening. Kane has 3 years remaining and I don’t give a fuck if people want to wave him off with their blessings. He needs to suck it up and deal with it.

Go overseas, yep, go but stay and play for the theatre of plastic fans - no. you’d just be like how I feel about Berbatov - could have been a legend but walked away. It isn’t 2008 anymore.

He wouldn't be dead to me but I wouldn't have near the good will towards him or hope for him to do well.

Only Woolwich and Chelsea would make him dead to me, but United would piss me off because their fans are such obnoxious pricks and it makes little sense as his chance to win there is barely higher than it us with us with the way they are currently run/set up.

At least with City, PSG, RM, Juve, Bayern you can understand his chances to win are better there. The only reason to go to United is to get more money. The chance to win anything of value is not better there.

Lol Man United are linked because most people who don't understand football support them, its for views

If he does have ambition of winning, the only place for him is Man City, who imo we won't sell too this summer
And why should we?
Levy has the whip hand with three years left on his contract so unless we get an amazing offer from abroad he stays imv
Why strengthen a domestic rival?
Done it too many times in the past and makes us a small club
Carrick Berba and Teddy should never have been sold to ManU

How rude are we? Are we somehow suggesting that it wouldn’t be better for football to sell Harry Kane? After all, he deserves it!

And we may get a slice of the medal if Man City or United win it? Perhaps we can pose with their trophy once or twice.

Excuse me, fuck us helping the rivals. We should never sell to domestic rivals. Like Bazali Bazali said, we are right to take a stance, let’s act like the big club we want to be.

Sorry but I respectfully disagree with your opinion of levy's motive. IMO, he's only interested in the money side of things. Making Harry Harry stay in an underachieving sloppy boring team is disrespectful arrogant and self serving. I don't want to see him go either but I also think he's earned the right to move on if he so wishes .
Don't bother with the "disagree". I'll take it as read.
He’s under con

I wouldn’t say he’d be dead to me, it is only business for him if he moves. If he went to Man U or indeed any of our main domestic rivals though, I’d still be wanting them to lose all the time, just look I’ve always done.

Not for me. Kane is the second highest scorer in the club's history. Berbatov was a cunt who refused to play for the club to force his move. Kane has always given his all and is a club legend who will be talked about for decades to come. It'd be shit to watch him play for Utd, but I wouldn't blame him for going there. Look at what they can spend on players, they are bound to get it right eventually and when City have a dip in future, they could be right in there challenging.

I don't want us to sell him but if he wants to go, the one who deserves the shit is Levy. He has allowed the squad to crumble to build the New White Elephant Lane and now we might have the best facilities in the Europa League, assuming the yesterday's man who he appointed as coach can even qualify us for that.

In the end, I hope we turn things around and that Harry stays. It seems more likely that he goes though, unfortunately.

I really thought that, given how amazing Kane has been for us, we would wish him better than sending him off to United of all places.

First off. Manchester. Let's not forget he would have to live there.

Second off, he would then play his last 5 years winning some FA cups and maybe a Europa cup here and there, when they fall out of CL group stages repeatedly. Kane deserves a better coach and squad than United.

He wouldn't be loved in United. Or even appreciated. Let him go somewhere he can actually win important things, if he's to go.

PSG. Barca (though they're broke), Madrid, Bayern.

United???

Come on lads.

It's a truly pointless argument to have with the disciples of Sammyism. You can point out that in 2015/16 Kane scored:

Opening goals away to Woolwich, Chelsea and Man City.

The go ahead goal Vs Woolwich at home.

The equaliser away to Liverpool.

Also scored at home Vs City.

Their response is, "Yeah but he bottled it home and away vs Leicester". Even though Leicester weren't considered genuine title challengers when we played them.

It’s a bit like the doctrine of Papal Infallibility or lese-majeste with the King of Thailand if you are perceived to criticise Harry in any way around here.

I’m not for a second disputing that he’s been out talisman and best player for years and has been carrying team a lot these past two seasons.

Fact is he was part of a side for a few years in the middle to later part of the last decade that was our best side and collection of players since the 1960’s. They contrived to win absolutely nothing. That’s a collective failure on all of that group of players, Harry included and Pochettino as well.

He’s part of a side now that’s clearly not going to win the league anytime soon. Who could blame him if he wants out of this shambles. As Spurs fans, we should only be concerned about Spurs. It’s not in our best interest to sell him. Hopefully Levy is telling him he’s 3 years of a 6 year contract left and going nowhere this summer.

The Premier League may even be evolving into the type of model we’re seeing just about everywhere else - Germany where Bayern will win 8 in a row this season, Juventus who won 9 in a row up until last season, PSG who won 8 of 9 up to last season. Citeh could well be moving towards that kind of dominance.

Citeh will win the league next season and for the foreseeable with other or without Harry. Whether a crowd of financial dopers, bankrolled by human rights abusers who engage in mass slavery should be allowed in the sport is another days work.

I don’t think he is demanding to win things, just wants a platform / chance to compete to win trophies
I don't buy this 'moving to win trophies' reasoning. It's either money, fame or egotistical jerks who don't care that winning by moving to a team that 'always wins' isn't really winning.

I know that probably describes most footballers, but Harry seems to be cut from a different cloth.

He's too competitive, he wants to win for real. I'd be astonished if he went to another PL club. I honestly wouldn't blame him, but I'd think less of him as a person of character (and I know that's obvious given the betrayal-aspect, but I'm referring to the fact he seems like he's got a fair bit of integrity and grit).

If Utd get him, Varane and say Grealish, then he might have a chance of a PL title and that would still be a big achievement vs rolling up at City
