He wasn't great but had his superb finish stood, as it should have done, everyone would have been more than content with what he offered. Some people need to remember that as good as he is, he's not peak Messi or peak Ronaldo. He's also playing in a fucking dog shit side that don't deserve him.

It’s not the first time he’s been a passenger in an important game. And this has happened in Poch years too.
The guy has left everything on the pitch all year. He's probably so burnt out.
If he goes to a proper club with real sporting ambition, and a properly bolstered squad, he is guaranteed to thrive in big games.
Objectively, he has to leave, not only to try and win something but to rediscover that motivation again. This place is rancid and stale, and it‘s not going to change any time soon.
I wouldn't even call him a passenger. He had some good moments on the ball. Scored a goal that was offsides by a toenail. Made the run that opened up the Son goal. We just got dominated out wide.
Well, he stopped winning elected individual awards some time ago, and now he looks fucked for the statistical awards as well. Everybody already knew this from the Balloon D'or but you have to be in a team that wins (or at the very least is competitive) to regularly win individual awards. It's looking like another huge bust of a season for him. There's only so much of a legacy you can build at a midtable club, especially if you care about the wider world of elite football, where setting a club record is not such a big deal.
