Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He does, has consistently scored goals for us in his prime years, tried to bring us up to his level but we haven’t made it

It’s not his fault we are a banter club in every other area

If Cristiano Ronaldo was at Spurs his whole career and won fuck all I would say the same about him, these players deserve trophies and because of how we are run we can’t give them trophies

totally agree. Harry Kane deserves to play infront a better defence than these bunch of losers. Done everything in his power to score the goals and assists, yet is let down consistently by the inept Spurs players. Harry Kane deserves better than us. We are a shambles and he’s by far our best player

These players have failed to win trophies
If they deserve them, they should have turned up when it counts

This is what the club has come to. A section of it's supporters actually criticising Kane, one of the best players in the league and one of the best goal-scorers in Premier League history, and our best player by a distance, because he doesn't score against the very best sides sometimes, sides that are generally much better than us.

Some wankers have got the club they deserve.

Everyone is open to criticism.
I'm sure Harry is his own biggest critic.
Nobody is infallible in my eyes. That goes outside of football too.

You don't have to look very hard to find a staggering amount of praise to outweigh the criticism regarding Kane, but to blinker yourself from negative feedback is not productive.

Top goal scorer in the premier league

Top assists in the premier league

For a team unwilling to leave their half under Mourinho, and a midfield that rarely get any quality into him

He has bad games yes, but there isn’t one striker out there available to us that would be within a country fucking mile of Harry Kane

He should never be sold in a million years, but I would have no qualms with him deciding to leave, we’ve held him back long enough

Wonder if these numpties saying he fills his boots against lesser opposition also say the same thing about Lewandowski, considering he fills his boots against dreadful teams most weeks. Yeah, he perhaps scores in bigger games than Kane more often, but he's also playing with world-class players, Kane isn't and hasn't been.

With some people it reminds me of when you break up with your girlfriend, someone who is extremely attractive and you knew you were punching above your weight during the relationship. Once you've broke up and you've got over that initial heartbreak, you'll do everything you can to try and convince yourself she wasn't all that just to make things easier to bare.

Why is he being criticised because he's not superhuman, or not Messi/Ronaldo? He doesn't score in the bigger games sometimes because we're playing much better football teams that have more possession, and are usually much more organised. We seem to be pretty close to it sometimes, but no football side is a one man team.

Yeh and what have we won during those periods of losing huge assets? Sweet FA. We won the league cop with berbatov. Sold him and haven’t won a dime since. Proving selling big players puts you back. Don’t make out Spurs have coped well when big players have left because we really haven’t. It took us years to rebuild when Bale left. Our most “successful” period in modern era is Spurs with Harry Kane. Take him out the team, you are left with mid table fodder at best. You keep and build around your best players. Hence why the Chelsea’s, City’s, Liverpool’s of this world win trophies mate. You don’t advocate selling one of our greatest strikers and pretend it will be ok. It’s not a cult mentality, it’s the truth. Harry Kane goes, we might still have Tottenham Hotspur, but it will be a Tottenham Hotspur with no direction and spiralling down into mid table mediocrity. You pretend Kane going wouldn’t be a disaster, whilst us realists know this pretty much could spell the end of our challenge with the big boys for a large number of years.
We’ve also won Sweet FA during the Kane years. Not necessarily a reflection on Harry, rather the inherent unfairness of the very steep pyramid structure and financial doping elsewhere. Sadly we couldn’t capitalise on the perfect storm of a window of opportunity that presented itself in 2015/16 and 2016/17.

Regrettably that’s also the model across the board in the EPL era for a lot of the big old traditional clubs. Much is made us not winning a trophy since 2008, there doesn’t seem to be the same noise about Everton not having won one since 1995, Villa since 1996, Leeds since 1992 or Newcastle in over 50 years now. Liverpool prior to the arrival of Klopp and their European Cup win in 2019 had won one League Cup and one FA Cup in the previous 18 years - both on penalties.

The near 30 years of the EPL model has been Man U and to a lesser extent Woolwich hoovering up nearly everything over the first half of that timeframe and the autocratic state funded Chavs and Citeh over the second half.

If you want to win medals now, you more or less have to be at one of the plastic two.

Sammy, why don’t you grow some balls and just admit you don’t rate Harry Kane ? Instead of beating around the bush all the time saying “he’s a good player but “ etc etc. Since you come back from another ban, you done nothing but cunt Kane off. He’s not good enough for this club, that club etc. You did this for months before your ban. What do you get out of it ? Apart from what I guessed before , you enjoy being the pantomime villain and love having a different opinion than the rest , just to cause controversy. Half the time I honestly believe you come on just to cause arguments.

The thing is I was mainly talking about big games we actually won, rather than ones we played shit and lost.
Opponents: Brentford, Chelsea, Woolwich, Sheff Utd, Swansea, Millwall. Man City he went off injured early in the first leg if I remember correctly.

Played: 6 (1 as sub)
Scored: 1 penalty
Assists: 2
MOTM: 0

These aren't much better football teams.

My original post;

And the same said about his England performances;

I rate him as just below world class, but only at his best for about a third of a season even though he can bulk goals against relegation fodder while not playing well.

Deal with it
