Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

My predictions for Kane next season.

1. United -they are still a financial goliath. Owners need something to get the fans off their backs. Happy to pay BIG money when they need to. (Maguire anyone?)
2. Liverpool - sell Salah. Makes sense for them, can they find enough down the back of the sofa to do the deal though?
3. City - They don't like making huge signings. If he goes they win everything next year. Everything.
4. Stays at spurs
5. Chelsea - Just don't think Levy would sell him to them. Even he knows he wouldn't survive.

If Kane goes I think Son is out of here too.
United are still a financial goliath for sure, but the players they are able to sign has changed - particularly their marquee signings.

This is a side that took Van Persie from Woolwich, Mata from Chelsea, Di Maria from Madrid.
Now their business is the likes of de Beek from Ajax, Maguire from Leicester, Fernandes from Sporting CP. Wan-Bissaka from Palace, Fred from Shakhtar - with the exception of Pogba from Juve, players don't really appear quite so attracted to joining United. Probably because they only guarantee a great salary - but so do Chelsea, City, PSG, Madrid, Barca, Juve.. and United have pretty much fallen out of that pack towards our level.

The only clubs who will offer over 100 mill for Harry are Utd and Chelsea. I doubt City will, they have history of walking away from deals where the fee is too high

Only
realistic players you would take in a player plus cash deal?

City = Nathan Ake? Jesus? Mahrez?

United = Hendersen? Lingard? Van der Beek?

I dunno man if it's out of them I would take Ake and cash from City and Henderson and cash from United.
hendo stuff the rest. Said it in earlier post but why should we their sloppy seconds. Fucking none of them are good enough to start for their clubs and yet you want to them as part replacement for Kane. Get the money and buy a proper CD, RB and forward. Who know if we could defend better we wouldn’t need to rely on the goals Kane provides as much. Be imaginative play dele false 9.

For me Levy and ENIC are pretty much at breaking point with the supporters. I would like to think that they realise 90% of the fan base would probably completely boycott the club if they were to sell our prized asset to a direct rival. What needs to be happening right now is Levy and the board need to sit down with Kane and promise him that we are intending to spend huge money on top players to turn us into a force and obviously promise a top manager is coming. If levy and ENIC don’t do this, then they literally can fuck right off. Make Harry want to stay at Spurs for life Levy you bald cunt. Do something about it.
I agree with much of this and how I feel now. It’s gross mismanagement of the club and a once in a generation striker, who is one of our own.

Imagine, H coming back wearing a United shirt. Fuck that. It’s indefensible and those trying to make themselves feel better making excuses for him - give your head a wobble. Spurs on Spurs violence is coming I fear the way things are going.

I managed to cope losing Bale, Modric, Carrick, Berba, VDV etc. But losing H will come close to breaking my love for the club. If ENIC plead poverty and make excuses given ticket prices, ESL, lack of ambition on the pitch and preach sell to buy to cover finances - they can fuck right off. I’ll be long gone until they leave.

No one is bigger than the club.

A statement that's been seen many times on here over the last 20 years. And a statement we'll keep reading for the next 20 years unless Daniel Levy and his cabal fuck off out of our club.

If they aint bigger than the club, why do they all have to leave to fulfill their ambition?

I once slaughtered Joe Clash Joe Clash for saying Harry Kane was bigger than Spurs.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise.
Don't. He's a cunt.

It's true, they've never paid anywhere near that much, and they've never really brought in a player with a massive preexisting profile, at least not since the current sporting leadership has been in charge.

On the other hand, they have the funds and Kane is such a hand in glove fit for that squad. And it would seem like the alternative is paying even MORE for Haaland.

Imagine selling Kane to City and then charging higher ticket prices than them.

Harland will go to Real

Dias 60 mil, Ake 40mil, Cancelo 58 mil, Rodri 56 mil, Mahrez 60 mil, Laporte 58 mil, Mendy 50 mil, Walker 48 mil, Bernardo Silva 45 mil, Stones 50 mil, Sane 47 mil, KDB 68 mil, Sterling 57 mil, Otamendi 40 mil, Mangala 40 mil.

Have heard this a few times now, the suggestion that City don't really go that big on transfer fees. Maybe Pep himself came out and said something about them being a club that don't break world records for individual transfers or something.. can't remember for sure.

But it's bollocks. They just haven't needed to buy a first team striker for the 9-10 exceptional seasons Aguero has given them for what now sounds like a snip at 36 mil.
And everyone knows the biggest bucks are spent on the top goal scorers.

They will show their hand of 6 aces when they're ready. Try not to act shocked if that happens for Kane.

The same will apply to Haaland, they won't pay above what they value the player especially in a bidding war

City have won the PL and are in the CL final without having a Kane or Haaland. That's the magic of Pep. I wouldn't be surprised if he is happy going into next season with Jesus and Torres

They will not pay the 120-150 mill that Levy will want. Not a chance. What may happen is if Harry says City is the only team he wants to join and literally goes on strike like Berba and Bale did when they wanted to join Utd and Real respectively then City will be in the driving seat and might go in with a cash plus player deal eg 80 mill plus Ake

Also you are not taking into account that City under Pep don't need a main centre forward as they've proved this season. They are not that desperate to pay over the odds for a Kane or Haaland. Liverpool also proved recently that a team can be highly successful if the team shares the goal burden

Pep knows that his best sides have an Eto'o, David Villa, Lewandowki, Aguero type leading the line and adding a devastating goal threat to all the beautiful football going on around them.
Didn't he sell Eto and Villa? Of course having a top forward is ideal but I don't think Pep is that bothered if he doesn't have one and will find other ways and players to supply the goals

Not advocating that we sell Kane .... but

Kane is 28 this summer his value is 150m, as his contract runs down and his age goes up that will only decrease. So too maximise the value selling Kane now, at a time when he's coming off arguably his best ever season, makes good commercial sense ....

But selling Kane leaves a huge hole in the team, would 150m buy the 2/3 players needed to fill that gap?

There is a very recent comparison - Coutinho sold for 142m - that money transformed Liverpool into EPL and CL winners ... they didn't try and replace Coutinho they just bought the best defender VdV and the best striker Salah they could find ...

Not for one second saying sell Kane and buy a world class CB and a world class AM .... but like Liverpool would we actually be a better squad if we did?

He sold Eto'o for Ibrahimovic and then when that marriage failed he bought Villa.

He brought Lewandowski into Bayern too.

And of course it's not just him, he doesn't have dictatorial control over the City project.

I dunno, I can see it both ways. On the one hand a 27 year old England captain superstar for nine figures has not been City's modus operandi, and they have no reason to deviate from their existing model.

On the other hand, clearly Kane would make them an all-conquering death machine for the next four years in a way other market options could not ensure in the same way.
