"a despondent Harry pleads with authorities for answers that will SHOCK you"
Sounds like the headline from one of those old Teamtalk hotlines from the 90s, the 40p a minute one where you could only listen the first 50 seconds or it went on your itemised bill and your Da found out.

Off on a tangent, as kids we found that you could call the operator and ask for reverse charges to another phone box, they would just call it and ask if you accept the reverse charge in a phonebox, then you got free calls.

Also, in the late 80s early 90s you could put a 10p into the phonebox, whack the centre of the coin box and it would release the 10p back to you whilst keeping your credit.

Society has really gone to pot since I was a kid...

If I was a player at Spurs, I certainly would have asked him if it was true. If he said not true, I would leak that. If he said true I would have a go at Harry for doing it before an important match and unless Harry passively apologised it would result in a massive row and Mason would not be able to play both of us. Look out for surprising team changes tomorrow. I really cannot see a good outcome tomorrow.

Back in the early 80's we figured out you could call a number from a phone booth and it would connect for half a second before hanging up. We only knew our own phone number so called it up.

Cue us kids getting a hiding from my mum when we got home because she thought we were being kidnapped.

When I was at uni in the early 90's there was a trick that people used to do in phone boxes where they'd jam a coat hanger up the coin return slot in a particular fashion and the pound you put in fell straight through but still registered. Felt like I'd won the lottery when someone did it to the phone box opposite my digs. Then in my final year I had to walk about a mile to find one on Moseley high street that had been tampered with. Made that walk regularly though.

Agree, he'll be asked, but you can't then go to the press, that's exacerbating the issue. You could ask Harry to, but clearly the club will have already, as will players if he denied it.

Sorry to say, it's clear to my mind, he said along the lines of "Daniel, I'll give you and Jose one more year, you promised we would compete with the best when I signed my deal and we simply haven't, if we don't compete and show signs of clear improvement this season I wish to leave".

We have improved zero, at best stagflated, same overall quality (roughly) for higher wages.

Everyone will look to play him in as usual, tomorrow, IMO.

Sigh, I'm with Five Five on Harry, not cross at him, as I think he's emotionally exhausted as much as physical, new child again, all of Pochs intensity years, it's clear he is carrying huge spent energy in his being, and this summer is Spurs de facto moment to yield high return on him, should he want to go (as I am sure he does).

I don't think players will be surprised. I bet they knew months ago that Harry will be leaving.

Late 80's my Sis n her DJ boyfriend used to put on raves at Moseley Dance Centre (my mum had a drinks license she could use there), some of UB40 used to go and get mashed up. Back then I was a rocker/alt gig goer and never went. The summer of love happened there for many of my best friends! Liked it there, think I saw Transglobal Underground(? hazy) as my girlfriends dad was also a promoter for World Music Gigs n stuff there.

The more I think about it the more I think the racists will be the ones willing to spend most money on him.
Whilst city spend lots of money their record signing was De Bruyne in 15-16. £68.4m Next biggest is Dias for £61m this year. I'm not convinced that they will blow the kind of money we are all hoping H would fetch.

Chavs on the other hand spent £72m each on Kepa and Kai Havertz. I'm sure Roman would push the boat out for Harry if there was any chance of him signing for them.

I used to live in the last house on Trafalgar Road. There was a pub on the corner where it met Woodbridge Road. There was usually a drug dealer outside the pub door openly trying to sell you any flavour of narcotic you wanted as you passed. Any time of the day or night. 6 doors down from the pub was Moseley Police station. I kid you not.

Edit:

Zest Zest - I too was an "indie" kid around the late 80's early nineties. Anything from baggy, to madchester through bands like PWEI, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Jesus Jones, The Cure, Inspirals etc. Live highlight from the time would have been The Wonderstuff gig at Bescott Stadium in June 91. Cracking day. And I got a free ticket courtesy of having a few spare beds available in the house I was living in in Edgbaston at the time.

Agree completely, but Harry wants City, Pep wants Harry (after Haaland likely).

But we won't sell to them lot, so it just set the bar higher, think we'll end up with a high margin of 'performance related' I believe we'll get £100M and a youngster/£20-30M player ( Spursidol Spursidol do they have any London born wonder kids we could get?), then £20-30M in CL Win/Prem Win/Appearance/Goal uplifts. That way City get to say "We got Kane for £100M", we should be £130-150M all in.

Considering he came through the ranks and a twist of fate (different, less homely Girlfriend, say), he could have been a journeyman player (as I think he epitomises that drive and hunger are nearly everything), so we have had a beautiful journey with him, we came soo close together, but now he is going to pay for our new manager to have a war chest to attack the league with fresh young legs next season = win win!

One word description on my memory of that area back then 'pungent', and that suited me!

Tottenham started planning for Kane's exit in February and explored the possibility of signing in-demand Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20, from Borussia Dortmund. (Mail)
