Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This I am afraid is the behaviour of spoilt modern day Footballers, he was happy to sign his 6 Year contract and take his hug salary, he should have maybe thought more carefully back then of inserted a release clause. He didn't so fuck him and City

It's true about Levy but my post was about Harry. Both are individuals and my point is I think less of Harry after the recent news (my opinion of Levy stays equally as low as it was before).

Well that's fair enough. But personally, I have loved Kane because I think he's a wonderful player when he's on top of his game. One of the best 5-10 players in the world. And it's been great to see him do it in a Spurs shirt.

But I've never believed for a moment he's likely to be a one club man like so many seem to have done. That he's Spurs through and through. You can have a deep affection for someone or something but it doesn't mean it's a forever thing. The only realistic way we were ever going to keep Kane until he either retired or we as a club didn't want him any longer was by matching his own ambition, and we've not done that, and we're still not doing that.

Appointing Espirito Santo was the final nail in the coffin. With Conte or someone of that ilk, we might have had a chance to persuade him.

My problem here is: There's no way in hell Levy told Kane he'd sell him for anything below 150m last summer (knowing there'd be 3 years left).

Is it possible he said, we'll allow you to leave if we can get 150 (or, maybe that wedding story was right and it's 160)? Sure. And I bet right this second if City offered 150 we'd sell.

But no way was there a gentleman's agreement to let him go for cheap. I pretty much hate Levy, but he'd be right in this situation.

I still appreciate Kane the player.

I don't think I ever thought he'd be a one club man but my point is that I didn't think he would ever go so far as to force a move away and not report for training. There's nuance and levels to all of this.

That's just it in a nut shell. He is agitating for a move to a club who don't want to pay what he is worth to us to sell. We do need to put a deadline on it. Man City pay our asking price by Thursday. If they don't, then he's going nowhere. We are in the driving seat here. Not Kane and not those pricks at Man City.
I posted about the mentality of the Sheikhs a few days ago when it comes to business deals. They absolutely won't go into a deal without leverage, as getting the best of a deal is like a religious experience for them.

If they approached this deal on the level, they have zero leverage, so to get it, it seems that they are using Kane to put pressure on Spurs to lower the price and make the deal to City's benefit.

It is just the sort of sneaky, underhand shenanigans that would employ in order to "win" the negotiations. They'd brag for years about how they managed to get the best striker in the World, in his absolute prime, for roughly 2/3 to 1/2 of his actual value. They'd also brag that they got one over on arguably the toughest negotiator in Football.

If, big IF, Kane is complicit in this, then I would hope that Levy/Paratici add a premium to their valuation of Kane. I don't care about what people view as best for him, I'm only interested in what's best for THFC.

I severely doubt that we'll rinse them though, they'd rather walk away than lose face, especially when they'll be losing face to a Jewish owner.

Someone who doesn't want to be here anymore is only going to perform like shit at the end of the day.

Modric had an excellent season after his failed move to Chelsea, Suarez after his Woolwich move fell apart, it really depends on the individual. If Kane does end up staying then he's going to have to get his head down and do his work if he wants to break Shearer's record. Can't afford to waste an entire season out of spite.

Modric wasn't desperate to go though, even if he did want the move to Chelsea. Had that been Madrid in that moment in time he would have done what Kane is doing. I really don't get this comparison between the two.

Now I have no idea what you're actually rambling about. Move on, twonk.

Conjuring up some funky little phrase doesn't mean it has any substance behind it....

Based on our league alone:

If you think Arse, Newcastle, Burnley, Palace, WHam amongst others show a significant amount more ambition than us they're failing even worse than I thought..... There's nothing to revere about the brainless 'ambition' which sees Everton going backwards either.... (Worth noting; they're still sat waiting for the council to BUY them a new stadium when the truth is they could have BOUGHT one with all the money they've pissed away on medicore players over the last 5/6 years!)

Perhaps revisit your original comment that it would be hard to find a club that's less ambitious (across all leagues; one can presume you meant!); cos yeh, like I said..... Absolute hyperbolic nonsense on your part.

You're in rage/name-calling mode..... Take 5, fella.

True, buty unless City offers the right amount of money Kane is in the bigger losing situation than Levy.

If he refuses to show up to training or games, he won't get paid and can't play anywhere else. If he ends up sticking around and puts in half the work and his performances drop off a cliff, we lose value as a club, but no club is going to come running after a bad season or two. He's already risking it right now, but he loses the support of the fans and becomes a pariah within and outside of the club.

However people feel about Levy, he and the club have almost all the leverage in this situation. IF the reports about Grealish are true and City are looking to spend 100 million for him, then Harry is worth at least 125. Probably closer to 150.

Maybe so. But my main point is that we're a million miles away from being an ambitious club, or a club other top players want to join for the right reasons. There's no getting away from that.

I don't think he's literally sulking; just that he and his brother have a really crap strategy that they're enacting.
Let's face it.... a footballer, and his brother (acting as his Agent) are hardly gonna be the sharpest tools in the box...

Maybe they DO negotiate a ridiculous, filthy deal that is the ultimate; 'fuck you, I'm alight' to the current economic climate.... and good for them...
but it will ultimately expose them to be part of the selfish, "ME ME ME" generation that will destroy our planet!

And sucking the Oil Sheikhs Cock to get it only makes it worse!

If he stays, great... if he leaves, fuck it.

I'm over it all now!

In the next 10-15 years, we'll ALL be made to support Adidas/Nike City/Utd/USA/Barca/Cunt Money Utd 'cos there won't be any other options out there!!
PSG/NY City Madrid Utd will play each other 120 tines a year.... and good for them.... all the You Tubers will fucking love it, cos that's all there is to like.... apart from fucking PRIKTOK!

Monopoly will engulf the world!

fuck em all... when the end comes, AND IT WILL... I'm gonna watch old re-runs of the Big Match revisited, and wallow in the fact we were shit before City MADE us think we deserved to be shit cos we weren't as rich as them!

Fuck money, fuck City, Fuck Jeff Bezos and fucking Gooner Ek Cunt...

Fuck them all..... give me my 1980s Spurs re-runs when I can remember when football was played on a level playing field. Yes, we were average, but not cos we didn't have a corrupt Multi Gazzilionaire Oil Sheikh in charge!

We had Arthur Richardson in charge ffs!

Football is dead.
