Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If any other top clubs wanted Gil he wouldn't have joined us. Not to say he isn't or can't become a very good player. But he's a signing with potential, that's it. Romero hasn't joined yet, and although a good signing for us, still isn't a Varane or Kounde level signing. Son staying will probably be our best bit of business this summer, but as he was already here anyway he's not improving us further obviously. And nearly this and that doesn't cut it. Regardless, we actually had a good team a few years back and are a million miles away from that now.
In my opinion you're really clutching at straws.

Sorry to say, it's more than I'm not putting much effort in.... Just current stuff off the top of my head.

I can tell you're just gonna find a reason to bat back whatever I say, valid or not..... We're at that stage in things aren't we?

There is many things that frustrate me with this Harry Kane saga and the majority of them I'm repeating from my own point of view and other posters.

Harry Kane is a great player, but this 'trophy' situation still really irritates me, he's played in one of the most successful Tottenham teams on the pitch in recent years and couldn't win anything. He's also the player that's had a chance to win 3 major trophies in the last seven years or so (Prem League, Champions League and League cup final x2). Not to mention the numerous Semi Finals we've failed in.

Why don't these players ever think of the fans? I know people will say that they don't care (which is true to a certain extent) but I thought Kane would be different. Does he not want to see this 'When did Tottenham last win a trophy?' banter disappear? Does he not want to win a trophy with Tottenham where he is currently a legend (despite not winning a trophy?). Surely that's more worthwhile then going City who imo are a disgrace of a club and shouldn't be getting away with spending £200+ million on two players potentially.

Another thing is the argument that Tottenham/Levy hasn't backed Harry Kane's ambition. Nonsense. The club has developed massively, new ground/training facilities etc not to mention that Daniel Levy appointed a WORLD CLASS manager in Jose Mourinho who Kane by all accords backed massively. It's a disgrace if Kane downs tools. It's all well and good sticking around with the good times, but when the things have a got abit tough Kane and his brother have decided that they are too good for us now.

I'm not gonna get into the England situation either.

At the moment we're nowhere near winning any trophy unless we get lucky in the FA Cup. Signing Gil, Romero and that Italian keeper isn't going to change that. While Levy remains I can't see us improving anything like drastically enough under the guidance and leadership of him and Espirito Santo to suddenly become anything close to what we were a few years back when we had the likes of Eriksen, Dembele and Walker etc.

There's being optimistic, that's fine, but then there's having your head in the clouds. We're moving sideways at best while many of the other teams are getting stronger.

Most signings are based on potential

Even the experienced signings are only potentially good for the club they go to

Some don’t work

We got to a final last season

We were top of the table last season

No it doesn't actually. At some point it would go to the CAS and would be ruled on. Or he could just half-ass it and we'd be fucked. It's the reason people get sold when they want to and why Levy said what he said (postd earlier) about the player having all the power. It does us no good to have Harry walking around on the pitch avoid injury and stinking the joint up. It's foolish to suggest "we hold all the cards" like folks are making out round here. We should have sold on our terms seasons ago and rebuilt.
How long do you think Kane would half arse it for?

He didn't turn up for training - silly boy that gives more power to the club to play hard ball ... Harry's greatest strength is that he's 'one of our own' if he downs tools he will be just another greedy mercenary ... memories are very short with football fans ... just ask Judas
Wasn't that because he was meeting Paratici, though?

I mean, I don't know that, but it was reported that that was the plan and since it's not sensational I'd be tempted to believe it.

Completely agree that currently we aren't in a position to be winning trophies, but we were only a few years ago.

The team we had with the players you mention we did everything but win a trophy. had we won a trophy Levy would be genius. Unfortunately the players/manager weren't able to get us over the line at the time.

We had a poor season last year, mainly because of a dinosaur manager who fucked the club and the squad over massively. 7th still isn't a bad finish in the grand scheme of things but nowadays it's seen as a disaster.

Unprofessional and pathetic if he hasn't turned up for training imo.

Levy may have failed him and broken "gentleman's agreements" (footballers are so fucking stupid, NEVER take a corporate man at his word ffs, get it in writing!) but what have the fans done to deserve this?

Imo, this is Kane and his ego getting the better of him, I never thought he would be one of those footballers but he has become one, his success has turned him into the very thing that I dislike so much about modern footballers.

His role model is Tom Brady, maybe he should take some lessons from him on how to actually be a leader and win and have some class like Brady does rather than sulking and throwing his toys out of the pram.

Get behind him all you want. Have a Deliverance moment with him if you like. Squeal, piggy.

But giving him backing doesn't change him into something he's not.
Called being a fan mate

Try it

Get behind your manager

‘Squeal Piggy’????

Like I said earlier an intellectual power house

What a way to debate

lmfao 🤪

Thine eyes have seen the truth brother.

Kane been part of 3/4 failed finals. Not his fault Guv.

Well that's obvious. But if you think Gil, Romero and Gollini are going to change our fortunes around on the pitch under Espirito Santo I think you're going to be in for a rude awakening.
There’s probably going to be a lot more comings and going’s but you stick with your anti Spurs agenda

:mourbye:
