Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What do you know nuffing. only what sky sports tell you so all thats going on is speculation. What if his wife or daughter is sick, what if he ask levy for an extra day to sort some shit out, what if his flight was delayed and made home late last night. PURE SPECULATION and we are acting like gossip girls spreading speculation.
Yeah Yeah Yeah - you're right.
What if he actually WAS at the training ground, but dressed himself up to look like a tree, so nobody knew he was there?
What if he almost got to the training ground but his kids said they wanted an ice cream at Capel Manor and he saw the lovely gardens and forgot what he was supposed to be doing?
I hate people who speculate too.

OK. Just wait until games start getting lost. We'll sell him after we play City. And all the legacy fans up in here losing their shit are not in denial at all right? And they haven't been all summer right? So surely when points start getting dropped they will, as they always have, take it in stride, right? Kinda like they did with Mou and all the winning. Can't wait to see this no pressure atmosphere of which you speak.

Yup, just like all the other players in the history of free-agency professional sport that have been held against their will for the remaining 3 years of contracts. Gotcha.

Can't do the rest Guids. Too many words. If it takes you that many then perhaps your initial point is a weak one. We shall see jsut like we've seen with Dele. You put all your money on the notoriously patient and reasonable fanbase. I say that's a sound investment.
Are you talking about me or someone else losing their shit? If you are talking about others then you could always have that conversation with them instead of me.

I'm not losing my shit, he can go if we get our dosh. But he shouldn't be sold for a penny less than what would easily be an English transfer record fee.

If we lose games my concern is always about how we are playing, be that with or without Kane. I was extremely unhappy with how we played the last two seasons and that included Kane playing with him also becoming the top goal and assister too. We were dogshit. If we are dogshit again I will be just as vocal about this, I'll just have to see how it pans out with or without Kane playing.

I doubt we'll keep Kane to his 3yrs of his contract (unless we are challenging for the Legaue Title this year which is something not remotely part of my expectation) and unlike the players that I referenced earlier that remained at their Clubs and then left on free's at the end of their contracts, we aren't like them challenging for titles, so I would expect if a fee is not forthcoming he will be sold next season. Again IF an appropriate fee comes in.

Again, doing so means our Management team who have only been working with each other for 2 weeks, can spend the year working out a suitable plan and profile of player. Giving them time to approach identified players and plan strategies to bring them in. Kane will not be worth less next year than he is now unless he gets severely injured or something.

People need to put the pink/lillywhite sunglasses down.
Kane is 28 and one of the best players we’ve seen in this League. The man cannot end his career without a major title/trophy and we’ve shown year after year that we’re unable to deliver.
And only Daniel Levy is to blame for that.

So go ahead Harry. No ones bigger than the club but this guy deserves the glory he wants. And if that’s at City, then good luck to him.
Is this some weird parody post?

So when dose the mug change nationality to guarantee a World cup or Europe championship. And who would he pick 🤔 I mean I got 28 -1 on Italy there is no clear front runner... Spain Brazil Germany or France... tricky for H this. And dose he have a gentlemans agreement with Southgate?

15 Terminating a contract with sporting just cause
An established professional who has, in the course of the season, appeared
in fewer than ten per cent of the official matches in which his club has been involved may terminate his contract prematurely on the ground of sporting just cause. Due consideration shall be given to the player’s circumstances in the appraisal of such cases. The existence of sporting just cause shall be established on a case-by-case basis. In such a case, sporting sanctions shall not be imposed, though compensation may be payable. A professional may only terminate his contract on this basis in the 15 days following the last official match of the season of the club with which he is registered.
What's the source of this and do we know for sure it is a clause in a contract...specifically Harry's.
There must be players who play less than 10 percent of games ie first team but "2nd string" eg tanganga?

I wouldn't bother pal. There's a lot of people here that insist that we're still going in the right direction, regardless of whether Kane stays or goes.
Yeah I just took a 3 month break off trying to help them see enic/levy aren’t taken us to the next level. We could finish mid table this season & they will still support them strongly.

It’s so weird though.

Get Haaland, continue to win everything and they could still flog him in a few years for big bucks.

Unless Pep has decided that Kane is ideal for his false nine formation and that a marauding centre forward like Haaland is too uncouth for his refined sensibilities.
I don't know how true it is but there has been some rumblings on and off about there being beef between City and the Haaland family. With majority of it coming from the Haaland side.

Specifically because of some slight that Erling's dad feels that the club committed towards him when he played there.

Every football club has those those that believe they're some sort of super-fan just because they won't say a bad word about the club, it's staff or players. Quite sad really. There's a fair few knocking about on here but I don't need to start naming and shaming. In their heads everything is wonderful and we're going in the right direction as a club, regardless of the actual reality. I try my best to just let them be and get by in their own bubbles.

How much is "one of the best players we've seen in this league" worth mate?

Tough shit. City can either pay up or shut up.

YOU may want us to sell him for fuck all but Spurs fans want to rinse City.

Spurs first. Always

I've not even mentioned any sort of price so what the hell are you spouting about? We can only "rinse City" if they're happy to be rinsed, which they're not. So we'll be left with a player that wants out, not performing to what he's capable of.

Yes, i think we need to find a way to get him out of the club now. For as much money as possible.

Not a fan of the let him rot in the reserves approach, we've been down that road and it never works. With a player of Kane's profile it will just subvert the entire season, if it hasn't done already. He's burned his bridges now it's up to Levy and Fabio to get the best deal and get a decent replacement ASAP.
We should be looking for a truly massive fee - British transfer record, easy - but I'm coming round to this view myself. I hate to say it but players do hold a lot of the power nowadays and have done so for some time. Levy and Paratici need to work hard to get as much money for Kane as possible so that we can move on and reinvest that in the team. It's going to be a very ugly and distracting situation otherwise, and keeping unhappy players doesn't work (in fact you can't usually keep them at all).

A few days ago I wouldn't have written this but I'm genuinely surprised and disappointed in Kane's refusal to train. I expected he would be far more professional than this - I would have been in the keep him for one more season camp 'til earlier today, but I think if he's going to down tools I just can't see the point in that.

To add - I think it's best for all concerned if we get a big fee, move on and improve our squad with players who want to play for the shirt. The only caveat here is if City are a mile off our valuation.
