Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Harry has been very badly advised the last 3-4 years and now he's paying for it. If he wanted to make sure he had the opportunity to leave before his contract expired, then he should have demanded contractual stipulations that allowed it. Levy had much less leverage in 2018 when Kane signed the new deal. Kane's old contract would have expired next summer and he could have left on a free if Levy didn't give him a release clause.

Maybe if he wanted to go to PSG or another club not in the Premier League, Levy wouldn't be (nearly) as obstinate. But Kane wants to have his cake and eat it too with Shearer's record and go to City. In any case, Harry's the one that allowed Levy this degree of control over negotiations, and these ham-fisted actions from his camp only show that the advice he's receiving continues to be poor.

This is the irony which escapes all those that are rallying behind Harry; telling themselves that he's sticking it to Levy..... It's the opposite

All the while; he's also taking the piss out of the fans and his colleagues whilst playing Russian roulette with our season....

Blinded by hatred of the ownership OR Hatred > Spurs [delete as applicable]

He could have ‘’stuck it to Levy’’ had he gone about it differently. If he had put out a statement saying he loves the club but wants to win trophies and if a good offer comes in will go but if not will stay and play hard then the fans could have accepted. He may have gone or he may stayed but it would show while Kane wants to go if the offer comes he still respects the club and fans and it’s ambition that is driving him to leave.

That would have put the fans back on the club about ambition over the past few years and poor decisions from the board. Instead he went on strike which is disrespecting the players, manager and fans. He strengthened Levy’s hand not weakened it. Very very amateur.

Also be interesting to know what City have told Kane, did they say we have £170m or so with your name on it, if not he is a fool as they have left him high and dry. If Kane and City thought they could lowball Levy for £100m they are morons.

Lol. You seem quite triggered for a Saturday morning.

On the brown last night?

Kane isn't my idol. I'm a grown man. Glen Hoddle was my idol lol.

He's not behaving like a spoilt brat. Just because he is protecting his own interests above yours doesn't make him a spoilt brat.

I can see Kanes side. I've seen how levy operates. I can imagine him signing the contract with a handshake that it could be broken halfway through. His big mistake was to not get it in writing and trust Levy.

You're hurt feelings are irrelevant.

"Triggered"....... Just like da kidz say

Your IMAGINATION.

HIS big mistake.

*Your.

Had this pointed out to me last night, but... These last two (or was it three?) summers where he's alleged to have been unhappy; he could have done a Rooney and publicly leveraged the owners over lack of ambition/better quality signings etc. if winning here was his core motivation.

Not everyone would have percieved that as the right thing to do, but there would be no mistaking that he had the club's (i.e. in this context; the fans) interests at heart and any subsequent attempt to move would have been explained/vindicated in advance if the club did not respond accordingly.

Yup.

I did this once when I was 20-odd.... Not striked, but left a job for the mere promise (the proverbial gentleman's agreement!) of a new funky position elsewhere.... I got left "high & dry" and earned a tough lesson that day.... And I can assure you it was more pivotal to my living than it is for a 200kpw footballer feeling butthurt about wanting shiny things to cement their legacy.

If Kane and City thought they could lowball Levy for £100m they are morons.

City have nothing to lose and everything to gain here..... Kane is taking all the risk on his shoulders.

Lukaku, Messi, Haaland... Hell, even that Vlahovic bloke that people are getting wet about..... Any of these and more might tickle their fancy instead given what any interactions with Levy may reflect, financially speaking.

You cannot move to “win things”. What if he goes to City and they finish 2nd, make the semifinals of Champions League, runners up in a close league cup final and somehow crash out of the FA cup before being handed it. He’s had a good season, but won nothing. This is the reality. Great teams don’t always win.

The frankly brilliant 1986-87 Tottenham team won nothing. Coventry City did however win a major trophy. Who do you remember most ? Trevor Peake or Richard Gough ?

Kane moving might increase his chances of winning the league, but that’s all. The only guarantee is he will be paid more.

There is absolutely no reason at all that Spurs cannot win the FA Cup, League Cup, Conference League or finish in the Top 4. Will they? Perhaps not, but I can’t guarantee they won’t any more than I can guarantee City will.

So is this about the “big” trophies being the ones that count to Kane?. These are the hardest to win. City have never won the Champions League, why will they win it guaranteed in the next few years ? Liverpool beat city to the title 14 months ago, might happen again, who knows what comes next.

What does the move Guarantee ? M O N E Y. Not just for Harry, but millions for those around him too. It’s all about the money.
Kane has been with Spurs for 10 odd years and won nothing. During this time, his mates have left Spurs and won trophies. That's why he wants to leave. What's wrong with that? Hes more guaranteed to win a trophy with the City team than Spurs.

Ok back to training my striker time to get in back in shape.

there’s ways of doing it son and doing a Gary Neville interview name checking City, putting valuations on himself and talking of playing with other players (De Bruyne ) is taking the piss, especially when you are going against your boyhood club and the fans that have adored you for 10 years. You just don’t do it. You get your nut down, don’t cause a fuss and express behind closed doors your desire to possibly leave. If the valuation is met, then he’s free to go. Until then, you train and play for the club that pay you 250k a week. That’s what’s wrong mate. Harry Kane will be a Spurs player this season though and we are just going to have to slowly forgive him.

Do you honestly think his desire to leave is solely to win trophies? Put it this way;

if Citeh came unstuck due to FFP and said “Harry, we can meet the transfer fee but you’ll need to take a pay cut. £100k per week is all there is but you’ll win plenty of trophies” do you think he’d go?

or do you think he’d suddenly decide it would be worth having another go with Spurs and maybe try winning one of the finals he has reached?

Slowly forgive what cmon Harry let’s go my striker everybody can keep moaning for all I care.

FFP? Does anyone believe that is an issue for that lot? It hasn’t been so far even when they’ve clearly blown it apart with their spending.

Can't remember the details now, but they've just pulled some strings and freed up another 600m by some form of asset juggling (See reports in City thread for details)..... FFP won't be an issue.

For those of you who think this will weaken Levy and ENIC it won’t, the very opposite infact. I can see some fans in support of Kane only because of this.

ESL - weakened Levy made him look like a total cunt.

Stratford - worst thing in the history of Spurs in terms of ownership, I will never forgive this. It would have ruined the club had West Ham thankfully not got the gig.

Poch - did fuck all for about 2 seasons and let our best manager of my lifetime stew while pretending the stadium build wouldn’t impact the team. ENIC let Poch down big time and haven’t forgotten.

Manager search - a joke

All of these weakened ENIC. Levy himself appointing a DoF and giving him what seems decent power for now is probably a response to some of the fuck ups.

Kane striking to push the club to sell to City at any price out ENIC in a position where they have to defend the club against Kane and City. Yes that’s right it means ENIC on Spurs side and Kane and City against the club. We already have stopped talking about the shitshow of a manager search, the ESL and everything because Kane has taken all the oxygen. If anything this whole thing let’s Levy off the hook for recent fucks up, it’s more likely to empower him than weaken him.

Fans have different views, anti and pro ENIC and that’s fine but this I can only see giving Levy power unless he sells Kane cheap and gives in.
Maybe Kane just calculated the situation poorly, he looked at how Levy has messed things up the last few years and figured he would have more support from fans by telling Levy to fuck off...so he probably thought that if he applied a bit of pressure by delaying his return he would still have plenty of sympathy in the bank...except that he's fucked it completely and now has to save face...

FFS,just when you thought they couldn't get any worse.

The benefits of their whole multi-club self-owned farm system is kicking in now too.... Random players appearing on their books that are being sold for significant money without having ever played a game for them..... The fix is well and truly in.

ESL would have been terrible news for this filth.

It’s been said time and again. Nobody, and I mean nobody begrudges the fact that Kane wants to leave to win things.

But most of us (those who aren’t clownshoe kane worshipping cunts) are disgusted by his actions and think he’s a disgrace.

If he goes, I take it you’ll be deleting your account and fucking off to blue moon. Please do.

Now shut up.
