Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Very few actually are. Players like Totti and Maldini are an absolute rarity. Gerrard also springs to mind, but let's not forget he very nearly signed for Chelsea.

But speaking for myself, the fact that Kane used to support Woolwich as a kid meant he was never one of our own more than anything else. But it's also worth noting that had we as a club been where we would like to be, he would never have wanted to leave in the first place, and this whole circus never happens.
Like I said a year or so a go I wouldnt blame him for wanting to leave, its the way he went about it that grates my helmet.

Also, can we just put to bed this nonsense that his team mates (or some of them) don't want him at the club?

Just look at how they celebrated his goal with him. Son was beaming. They may not have agreed with the way he has gone about things of late, but he's still a top notch player and they clearly respect him and what he can produce at his best.

Good day's work....

- Classy goal.
- Monkey off his back (the other players were visibly chuffed for him too).
- Built on the improved all-round performance from the Villa game.

Give him a half on Thursday to continue the sharpening process.
