Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

surely this has got to be put to bed?

Sammy get help, seriously. You are coming apart at the seams

Salah and Son has outperformed Kane in big games

The fact you have to accept it makes you very uncomfortable.

What makes me uncomfortable is grown men acting like another grown man they’ve never met is their son/lover/pet who they must protect

Kane doesn’t care about you.
He wants to play for Manchester City.

Awwww

what the actual fuck are you talking about?

this is my point - your head is full of shit that your fevered imagination spirits up
and then you start arguing with me about the troubled thoughts you are having.
Sammy, for your own mental health
Stop posting on here, you are making yourself look foolish, or worse.

Most of all try to stop arguing with the things that you incorrectly believe I (and countless other posters) are thinking.

I’ve argued that Kane isn’t world class and shown why I feel so

You’ve argued that people are mentally challenged

Why don’t you stop posting here? You literally offer nothing.
Everyone that says I’m on ignore, or should be, reads my posts and comments on me.

Positive or negative, my views are relevant.
What are you?

Does anyone know? Do you like Nuno? Do you rate Dele, or Royale?
Are you pro Levy?

No one knows what you are Mick, other than a cunt.

wow
you want everyone to be like you.....

I didn't say you were mentally challenged either - yet another straw man argument

I have plenty of opinions Sammy - I just get them out, back them up and let them go. If you weren't so obnoxious, I might even discuss them with you, but I am not prepared to discuss anything with you, because you don't discuss you just keep repeating your POV over and over ad nauseum.

you have no ability to stop ramming them down everyone's throat.

oh and your opinions are relevant to you Sammy, you and the other chump.
Pretty much everyone else thinks you are well off point

Why would I answer an irrelevant question?
Messi is world class, Kane isn’t

Couldn’t give a fuck if Kane scored against Panama with a deflection of his heel while facing the wrong way

You couldn't give a fuck about a Spurs player scoring a goal ...... OK

As always Sammy you have supported an argument that you believe 100% but one which has been challenged by nearly everyone on the forum, that's fine you are perfectly entitled to your own opinion, where you fail is that any dissenting opinion, even when that opinion is argued with supporting data, you dismiss with no explanation and insult anyone who dares disagree with you ... you then endlessly repeat the process by claiming Sammy's right the World is wrong .....

I don't agree that Kane has got worse, in fact I think his all round game has improved with the considerably extra assists he now provides - that's just a different opinion, get over it.

I don't think his game has objectively got worse. It's down to stylistic preferences. I personally preferred when he pressed more and was purely about the goals, 17/18 Kane was my absolute favourite. But last season he had 37 goal contributions in the league alone, so clearly he's still effective. (inb4 someone says not against big teams!)

He's lost some elements to his game, and added others. Whether you prefer this Kane or the old one will be down to what you want in your centre forward. He's never been the fast, dynamic kind of striker some people want.

We could've had any striker in world football and I doubt we score in that final. We had an xG of 0.06, we ventured in to the oppositions half maybe twice the entire game.

Yes I still have it recorded and torment myself with it occasionally!

The Dippers were a good side but didn’t really show up on the night and with a decent line up we could have taken them!
They were a great team (98 points is beyond just good) and the early Pen gave them a cushion. When you have Allison, VVD and Fabinho as a spine you can afford to play within yourself.

And I repeat - Firmino was rushed back and started the game just like Kane did.

The main reason we didn't play this way was (as I've stated earlier) Pochettino clearly had a very close relationship with Kane, and when available felt he needed to play him. I imagine he was aware of the potential tactical advantage you've mentioned, but his attachment to the player meant he had, perhaps unjustified, faith in his ability to cause different problems.

It's a shame. Llorente was a severely under utilised weapon in his time at Spurs overall. We deployed him off the bench against Ajax and he had a fantastic impact, but aside from that we barely used him at all. Perhaps because some modern coaches are reluctant to go direct in such a way, but more likely because whilst Kane starts, Llorente doesn't really have a place.

I'm still not fully convined of how much success Llorente would've had up against Van Djik/Matip aerially, but certainly the overwhelming likelihood is that the answer is more success than Kane had on the night. But hey ho .. Poch did what he did.

I may at some point watch the game again (if i can bring myself too) as memories of how it went exactly are hazy. I remember VVD having the better of Son on the occasions he did get some space in behind, and I certainly remember Kane being a non entity. Apparently Alli started .. I had forgotten that entirely.
My feeling is that VVD would have coped with Llorente too. When he’s at the the top of his game (as he was then) he has no obvious weaknesses.

Was it the same injury?

Ankle injuries might take longer to shake off
