Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Imagine a Tottenham fan actually being so desperate to make out that everyone else but you and one other moron here (though it's more than likely you) are talking shit because they rate Kane highly, or have done at least.
Hey when I see Korean Son fanboys comparing Son to prime Ronaldo, Salah, prime Bale or other truly world class wingers I will call them out for how delusional they sound. It’s embarrassing.

Who is though? I don't see anyone doing that. Son is world-class. He would walk into 95% of teams. So would Kane at his best. Just because there are a few better than Son perhaps hardly means that he's not world-class. Just like Harry, put him in a better side with better players around him and no doubt he would often look even better than he does.

Oh, that makes his weird obsession to criticise one of our two only top level players alright then.
Kane was crap until the Newcastle. We will see how he does from here on out.

If he doesn't perform he deserves to be criticized. When he performs he deserves praise.

It is what it is....

You are too sensitive about Kane when people talk about him. Like he deserves a pass or something because he is elite. (And no he does not)

I've seen most of your posts and 99% is only about defending Kane against other people.

We have many other players in our club other than Kane you know? Its Tottenham Hotspurs FC not Harry Kane FC.

I've never criticized his performance against average or inferior teams.

Flat track bully means a player that dominates lesser teams but doesn't deliver against top opposition.

He hasn't done much against the big 4 hence my gripes with him and hence why I don't think he's world class.

I expect truly world class players to deliver against the best, and he hasn't at a high enough rate.

Also, before we start comparing him to the best and past legends, how about he truly/unquestionably be the best attacker on a top 7 PL squad?

His record is up there with the best outside of Messi and Ronaldo, despite playing for a much worse side than many who are also on the same level. I couldn't care less who his goals come against or how many shots he has every game. Only Spurs fans with some weird fucking agenda would.

To be fair, you're at least a bit more sensible than sammyspurs, who makes it quite clear that he thinks he's average. But still, you seem to invest your time here between being sammyspurs' sidekick, and sticking up for Ndombele no matter how shit he performs at times. It's all just a bit strange.

Fair points and I respect your opinion. But of course opposition matters, especially when you're claiming a player is world class.

Would you say we should have kept Vinicius because he had 10 goals and 3 assists in just 1000 minutes of playing time. He averaged 1 goal contribution in less than 90 minutes. If you don't consider opposition or context, he would be looking like a very good striker.

Right now I'd say yes, we should have kept Vinicius!

But even if Kane is a flat track bully, and I've never denied he isn't, it still takes some doing to do it for pretty much 10 years now, season after season. Vinicius doing it for a bunch of games isn't really a comparison.

Sometimes Kane is average
Sometimes he’s poor
Sometimes he’s good
Rarely he’s world class anymore, maybe a goal or a moment but never a 90 minutes.

For each of those performances, I’ll call it what it is.

I don’t think a poor overall 90 minutes becomes world class if he taps one home or makes an assist.
Just like I don’t think a world class display would be any less without a goal.

But Kane not scoring these days is just Kane pre Newcastle.

Nothing.

He produced some amazing performances only last season. So last year. He hasn't fallen off anything like as much as you desperately try to make out in the space of a bunch of months. He's been out of form and mentally not where he should be, and in a very average side. Simple as that. He'll come again. Just not in your eyes.

I disagree.
West Ham is a real test, let’s see how he does, and if he can pick up from Newcastle, or revert to his recent norm in a high intensity London derby

If he's shit again I'll be the second one to say it, after yourself. But I've said all along the moment he gets his first in the Premier League, he'll soon get back to doing what he's always done. But this season is the first time I've seen him have games where he has genuinely looked lazy and disinterested. Clearly it's been a mental thing but I hope he's now over his failed move.

You mean Kane’s “Assist” to Son against Woolwich when he scores from 30 out? That was maybe less of an assist than Jans assist to Son against Burnley.

Also, who assisted Kane’s goal that game? An assist that actually was an assist for an easy shot for Kane from 5 out?

Son was the main man that day like he has been th last 3.5 seasons but you fail to leave that part out.

We get it all Kane's goals are lucky and all his assets are accidents - how did we all miss that?

Oh my god the media!!!!!!
Must be true!!!

Oh dear Sammy - just because something is quoted doesn't mean it's true - your grasp of the English language letting you down again ... you really need to get some basic education ...

Speech marks, ergo a quote, are just a means of identifying who said something - whether that quote is true or not requires the reader to use his/her own intelligence and decide .... ahh wait I see the problem for you, it requires intelligence ... my bad I forgot you lack any of that.

Yes. That very easy shot at a tight angle hitting it at the goalkeeper's near post with not one but two Woolwich defenders closing him down. So easy.
You see. This is how you guys interpret it. You're missing the point. Son and Kane both had a goal and an assist.

But... scoring from 5 yards out is significantly easier than Son receiving the ball from the middle of the pitch and scoring from 30 out.

The point is - Kane's teammate had a worldie of a game that day. Probably had the best goal in the NLD in a longgg time as far as I can remember. Kane did well but he was overshadowed.

Also, this past game against Newcastle... PEH had an excellent assist, yet all everyone talks about is the little flick from Kane. Why is that? Where's the love for PEH?
