Sammy is being very cheeky. I cornered him in a Kane debate about a year ago and he was trapped so badly he began to ignore me, I had to tag him and then he started replying with weak one word/line posts (when he clearly loves an essay). Then he shamelessly gave the cop out of "it's not that serious it's just football" when he had no way to answer me.

He regularly does complete 180s and then goes spammy with the exact same conviction. He regularly concedes points (after you beat him down and destroy his arguments and point out every logical fallacy known to man) and then comes back repeating the same shit as if it never happened.

He lives for this lads. The cycle is the same every time.
- Fixate on something (Poch, Kane etc)
- Argue endlessly for hours each day
- Get banned cos everyone has had enough or leave cos he's expended all his mental energy
- Recover and start again

I don't even think he's a bad person any more hence why I don't insult or call him names (like I did a few years ago).

It's literally a mix of wanting attention and wanting to not only be right at any cost, but more importantly to be seen to be right and that stems from insecurity.

We have had this exact conversation about the lad's posting like 50 times in the past! I am not joking. It always ends up in a break from the forum.

Honestly, debating Kane is more interesting than debating any of those other players. The other players you mentioned are more or less shit/done so there's literally no point in beating that drum anymore.

sammyspurs sammyspurs does make good points and gives some stuff to think about and consider.

I enjoy the banter for the most part.

Kane is a key player and gets more attention it’s that obvious. The fact you’ve made so many posts about my opinion of him (while claiming to agree with most of it) is the only weird thing about it.

I'm not against a well reasoned debate or discussion and respect everyone's right to an opinion.

It's more reposting the same thing over and over without taking on anything that's been said.

"Kane is shit and we should have sold him"

"We play better without Kane"

"Kane only scores against plodders"

When well reasoned counterpoints are put up, it's all posted again and again.

Ronaldo's Sky interview has him highlighting how many goals, assists, hat-tricks, appearances, and so on. How many of those are against absolute toss? Yet he (and Messi, with many of the same factors) are regarded as the best. I mean, fucking hell Messi has never turned up at a World Cup. Does anyone doubt his class?

Shearer scored a shit ton of goals in the Premier League and is the current record holder, yet a huge number of his goals came against shit teams. You can only beat and score against what you face.

We haven't played Brentford yet, which means that Kane has scored against every team in the Premier League, a feat no other player can claim. He has only three players with more PL hat-tricks than he has and he's still got years ahead in this league (although I know it's been four years without one).

And here we have a supposed Spurs fan not only dead set against "one of our own", but determined to force to point so hard it clogs up the thread and ruins the forum.

But hey, that ad revenue must be good from all the repeated refreshes, huh?

You’ve said this before. But that’s ok.

Plus, how do you know what’s been repeated when you’ve “ignored all the posts from the two trolls”

Maybe actually use Ignore instead of pretending to and your experience will be a better one
That way you can have a “reasoned debate” that only involves people you agree with.
