Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Still needs to be dropped regardless. Offering nothing on or off the ball, and we don't play to whatever strengths he may still be able to show. Honestly I'm pro going 3-5-2 or something similar with Son/Lucas up top, Ndombele at 10 and Skipp/Hojbjerg in CM.

The man's head is not at Spurs, at all. Pointless having him in the team, he's a total passenger.
I agree but i think he's sort of like Shearer was at Newcastle. Undroppable. The minute a manager left him out like Gullit did, he was toast. Nuno doesn't strike me as a risk-taker so i think he goes with Kane no matter what.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if an ankle or calf injury in the lead up to the January window suddenly starts keeping him out of games..

We could have financed Daka, Vlahovic, a young beast CM or CB with Kane's probable £120M plus add ons last summer...

Britney Spears Ugh GIF

Yeah,

If only City had offered it.

Certainly won't happen, but it's what is needed. If the club wish to get back in to the top 4 anyhow, which clearly they really have very little interest in.
What's your time scale for that? I'd argue 200M is too little if you mean next year and not necessary if you are thinking of building 2-3 seasons (which is the more reasonable perspective). But the further and further away from decent performances from our currect players sees the NET input increase.

Time scale wise unsure, but spending 200m in a window would get us back on the road towards a squad worthy of making the top four. Certainly 200 wouldn't get us top 4 next season (unless it was incredibly well spent and a very canny manager brought in) but we could easily be 5th if it was spent wisely, then have a great platform to build from there.

Also depends on other teams. This season for example if United were to continue to struggle, a low points tally may get you fourth. If United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool all perform to expectations, we won't be getting there for a long, long time. But history says one of these clubs usually has an off year here or there.

Anyway, it's all hypothetical. Right now we're nowhere close and we all know 200m isn't happening anyway, not a chance in hell. The best we can realistically hope for is the right managerial appointment and Europa League football.

Right now playing Kane will cost Nuno his job anyway. We can't afford to carry a passenger in this side, we're nowhere close to good enough for it. Continuing to play Kane in the hope he finds his feet isn't an option, if he wants to start he needs to start realising he's just another player. The lack of a backup CF has fucked us but we can't allow someone to just waltz about the pitch barely giving a shit.

As others have said, it's damn sad this is the way it's going. Every fans last memories of this guy at Spurs are likely gonna be him ambling around not really caring.

He wouldn't keep Chris Woods out at this point. We can't play united like this got to be Son centrally and Bergwijn Lucas either side. He is an actual liability, can't believe what he has become. I wanted him sold in the Summer now I'm actually embarrassed for him 😔
I was with you until you said Bergwijn, wtf does he offer?

Regardless of how good he's been in the past, and not so long ago even. Tonight (and this season) he's looked like a League One player. Needs to go home and take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask himself a few questions.

Yeah if we drop Kane we need to go to a system with 2 attackers, if we go with a 3 we've basically always got a third attacking player who is a total waste of time. Right now that's Kane, with Bergwijn it'll be the same thing with more effort but zero quality.

Even Lucas is iffy, but he offers something tangible. 3-5-2 is the only way forward if we wish to drop Kane, otherwise you're just swapping out one problem for another.

Strong words.

Worse is that it's accurate.

Proper world class and proved it again tonight against giants
He had no supply and his shots were Nunos fault because he had to run all the way from deep to get to the ball.

Quality striker and will easily pick up from Newcastle and score 55 goals this season. He always does this.

Lucky to have him and Moura should be dropped next round

It's not Kane's fault though.

Salah, Lewandowski, Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland wouldn't be able to score on this team.

Lucas scoring today is pure luck and should be immediately discredited.

Lucas is iffy???? No he isn't he is flat out shit.

0 goals in 8 games in the PL this year, 4 last year, 3 the year before. He cannot be relied on in any way to score goals in the PL, he has repeatedly shown he is not close to good enough.
