The problem is, we're fans looking at the matter through a supporter's eyes. Kane is a player.
To us, the footballing zenith is playing for Spurs, to a player it's winning things.
We can bitch and moan about how Kane should react, what he should do etc. the simple fact is this. Kane has for so long been Spurs plan A, B and C and when he decided he wanted to leave, he had Spurs by the balls. Fair play to Levy for not bowing down, but Kane knows that an ineffectual Harry Kane creates a problem for Spurs and Levy. Levy fucked up the situation, he thought that things would stay as they are and that Kane would knuckle down and then accept a big pay increase. It simply doesn't work like that.
We have a problem now in that it's clear Kane isn't putting in the effort, individual records now seem to mean little to him and he just wants to win things (as he stated all along). Now Levy has to make the decision, no matter how unpopular that benefits Spurs the most.
