Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I would love Harry to go to Madrid. Clearly he is done with us, and to be fair, no one can grudge him that.

Sell him for good cash to a Spanish team. Unlikely we will see him play against Spurs given that needs us to play CL football. He could become acknowledged as the best player in the world at Madrid.

he can come back to the EPL in 3 years and still get the goals he needs for Shearer’s record.

Everyones a winner I reckon.

To us though yeah?

If Madrid bid for him this summer, then I wouldn’t be surprised if the Manchester clubs match it.

Kane goes to Madrid, wins himself a couple of league titles, a UCL and a Ballon d’Or.

Two years time when Haaland is bored of Manchester he goes to Madrid with Kane coming the other way. If he doesn’t go to City then he comes back to Spurs in 3 years time and gets us a play off place.

He could end up winning multiple Champions Leagues with Madrid and be remembered much fondly than Bale as Kane doesnt have that shit attitude that Bale brought along plus more goals and all round footballing ability. If Madrid want him, he has to seriously consider it.

If he gets Shearer's record, its just a little line of text that he has a record. No one will give a shit. No one was giving a shit about Shearer's record until Kane started to get closer to it. Shearer has a record but Henry is considered the better player.

Leaving his contract run down takes it out of their hands. You then have Chelsea, United, Newcastle offering him massive wages, a chance to stay in his home country, and a certainty of breaking PL scoring record. Whatever we hear about Kane being open to a move abroad, I think he'd prefer England. The sad thing is, I think he probably wishes Tottenham hadn't fucked up the last several and could fight for trophies with us.
The only PL club he goes to guarantee him a trophy is City and this ship has now sailed.

We can match any wage the others offer him. The only additional thing he will receive would be a huge signing-on fee.

He will not score any more goals at these other Clubs than he does at Tottenham, there is more of a chance that he would score less as he would have to possibly settle in with a whole new team.

If Real Madrid are keen then this is a fantastic fit for him just as he is a fantastic fit for them (he's as close to a Benzema replacement as you can get). But this means he has the decision to make about not getting the PL record.

TDLR - Stay at Spurs or go to madrid

I don’t think City is necessarily off.

I could see them taking him on a free.

They will go for Kane. They need a centre forward that will play central and get them 25 plus goals. £100 million for him and we can just get on with life and stop everything being about him. It’s going to have to happen sooner rather than later so while we are in a period of transition it might as well be now and to Real Madrid.

The transition is necessary, on that I agree.

It's the importance of ensuring we ar are oveeloaded with the means to goals which should concern any Tottenhan fan.

Were we in that position of being able to attract quality abd effectively say it's now yours, then it would be a no brainer.

And just joining Madrid, to say 'I played for them' seems a bit short-sighted. No guarantee of success.

We shall see.

I largely agree with this. Kane's ultimate goal is to be the greatest ever English striker.

Yes, breaking Shearer's record is part of that, but if he goes to Real Madrid and is a key part in winning loads of trophies, then I think that will do more for his legacy.

If he wants to go, the club should look to strike a deal with Madrid.

He deserves his chance to win major trophies at the biggest club in the world.

Tbf to us, we’re hardly hampering him in this area. He’s just scored an insane number of goals. He’s so good he could probably play for Luton and get the same.

The only big reason to leave is trophies and there is only one club that can guarantee that in England. And they don’t need him.

He’s a phenomenal player but he isn’t going to drag Newcastle or Utd over the finishing line. He’s shown time and again that he’s not that kind of player, so I’m not worried that he’s going to go elsewhere in the PL and end his career with a nice trophy haul. If he wants that, he should go to RM, and if I was him, that’s what I’d do if the offer came in. He could go there for two or three years then still come back to the PL and hit that target if he really fancies his chances at longevity.

He’s already Spurs’ top goal scorer. He’s already England’s top goal scorer. Now he needs some silverware.

He is the best number 9/10 hybrid in the world. There was debate vs Benzema but he is in decline so he is the only player capable of replacing. You could talk about Mbappe but he is more of a wide forward so fits Rodrygo’s position better than as a replacement for Benzema.

If Real want the best it’s Kane, everyone else is either not as good or doesn’t fit the role.
100%. Benzema is a fair bit better in tight space dribbling, link up with short passing in the final third, and he's a bit more agile, but Kane is ahead in basically all other categories.

If things work out, he could/should surpass Benzema. He's a better finisher, creates/scores chances from nothing, and he's truly a 9/10 hybrid, not just a striker who's good with the ball, but actually doing the job of an Eriksen or KDB without giving up the scoring rate of a top striker.

United made two cup finals this year. He's a good enough player to help United to a 90ish point season if they sign well on top of him, at least a player with his mindset will think he has the chance to compete for a title there. We're looking to offer Eric Dier a new contract and our Social Media team posted an Oliver Skipp season highlight package earlier today.

So... My gut tells me hari to Madrid is going to happen.. supposedly don't come knocking twice... not sure on that one.. Wenger reckoned he turned them down ...twice!!... but for me , as a benzema replacement unfortunately he's tailor made .... and arguably an upgrade we've still got a year on his contract so were going to get.... How much? I'm going 70 mil ....I'm thinking levy would like nearer 90... But will probably deal @ 70.

In England that will be a huge accomplishment, but not so much in the rest of the world. As English fans are already pretty set against Kane, he won't get the recognition that it deserves.

So yeah, RM probably the best option if he wants to be recognized as the best striker of his generation. Watch all the "yeah but, not but" crowd do silent the moment he signs his RM contract... starts scoring for RM.

I was surprised at benzemas pace over 5 .. 10 yards..he was sharp. And as you say good in tight spaces.. for a big guy extremely quick feet.
