Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Want him to stay but if he ain’t signing a new deal and it’s £100m and Madrid better that than zero and potentially even Chelsea the following season, at the very least it will be one of the Manc clubs. I hope he wouldn’t do that but who knows.
I am more interested in next season than the one after. Kane will not sign a new contract now but will wait and see how next season pans out. If it is as bad as this season then he will go but if we take the opportunity of not being in Europe to win a domestic Cup and actually end up above MU as we did last season then why go there. MU are not winning the league any time soon and so a domestic cup is all they can achieve and so we need to match that. That will mean the likes of Kane starting in some of the matches but he will still play less games than in the CL.

Kane isn’t pace reliant. He will be elite till 36-39. He could in theory do 3-4 years at Madrid, win shit come back here and still break that fake Shearer marketing record, it’s what 48 goals more, he could do that over 3-4 seasons when he is 34-35.

Personal view is to turn down Madrid would be totally mad.

I think this is exactly right. 3-4 years in Madrid gives him all the time he’d need to win multiple titles, and still come back to us and finish his career with the goals record.

The only PL club he goes to guarantee him a trophy is City and this ship has now sailed.

We can match any wage the others offer him. The only additional thing he will receive would be a huge signing-on fee.

He will not score any more goals at these other Clubs than he does at Tottenham, there is more of a chance that he would score less as he would have to possibly settle in with a whole new team.

If Real Madrid are keen then this is a fantastic fit for him just as he is a fantastic fit for them (he's as close to a Benzema replacement as you can get). But this means he has the decision to make about not getting the PL record.

TDLR - Stay at Spurs or go to madrid

There’s also a , however small or unlikely, possibility that Pep / City might sign him on a free next summer (with a big signing on fee) to replace KDB.

Kane has the vision and ability to provide the through balls that Haaland thrives on. Kane is also capable of scoring long distance goals for himself, just like KDB.

KDB usually takes the free kicks and corners for City. Kane wouldn’t be doing that as he would be at the receiving end of the kicks, which means he has more opportunities of scoring goals than KDB.

He may not score as many goals per season, as he has had with us, but if he was on a 4 or 5 year contract with City, he would have sufficient time and opportunities to break Shearer’s record, whilst still winning silverware and getting high wages, all this without his family having to move out of the country.

Cannot understand so many posters in favour of letting our best player leave. As a fan, I say sod the money it is more important to have a better season next year. I believe Levy is now in last chance saloon and will keep Kane to have some chance of not hearing 'Levy Out' at every game. Despite what some say he is a fan or why put himself through watching so many matches. Joe Lyons does not go. The problem with Levy is not that he does not care but he has made too many mistakes in the last few years. In any case I doubt a decision will be made until we have a Director of football and a Manager. That will not stop the media speculation daily.
Think your 'misreading' things NO ONE wants Hari to leave BUT . The FACT is with us in the foresable the best we can offer him is decent cup runs and with a strong wind behind us MAYBE a champions LGE spot... Whereas real offer almost guaranteed medals... And beside that IMO Hari needs to get somewhere he's not the best player in the team.. imo he'll develop and improve.

I doubt that scenario occurs as he is almost the same age (just a 11 months separate them KDB being the older).

City have shown their succession planning is 2nd to none and essentially for the long term

It’s Harry, not Hari. Twat

Well yeah. If the first question was being answered by ENIC, then he wouldn’t need to leave to win things. We can’t control the actions of ENIC
Been saying this for ages but still people get riled up about protests and chants.

For me, Kane shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere this summer. If we want to act like a big club, if we want to win things, if we want to do better then we need to tell him he's staying. Unless we get an offer too good to turn down.

£100mil+ for a 30 year old would be pretty incredible in a sport which is increasingly focussing on younger players.
Reading Delaney’s piece earlier today and he says our figure would be the £200m mark!!

But regardless of the fee from another Club, the question of value is what’s his value to us? If he’s the difference to getting back in top four next season then that’s £80m right there, not to mention the value of vibes.

Spot on. It also builds a positive framework for the future success of the new manager.
