Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What's up with you Mick? People try to engage with you, but you behave like a 10 year old. Refusing to acknowledge points, and posting shit putdowns. You're a huge child, a very odd bloke. I just don't understand why you want to be seen like this?

What do posters say about hateful comments?

You keep using this as an example of a "hateful" post, but I really don't see it. Kane didn't look good. Then he did. Now he's in terrible form. We still aren't top 4. Using this post against me is really reaching.

And it's really nothing when compared to you going on and on about Lennon, Defoe and Rose. Kane had a good season -- turns out I was wrong. When he was banging them in I wasn't going out of my way to criticize him though; I gave credit where it was due. You, on the other hand, make your agenda perfectly clear when you attempt to smudge Rose's name by downplaying his performance and blaming a goal on him that was in no way his fault.

But really there's no point. You're the only one who thinks you're right. At this point I'm just defending myself to people who already agree with me anyway.

With Kane it has to be the dreaded 'lack of confidence ' ? If that returns we will have him back to where he was last season or even better. He is the type to learn from all this. He failings are not a lack of skill or talent.

I have a question for y'all...Do you think Hodgson would be playing HK if these were crucial qualifying games?
I just looked at his stats on WhoScored (for the Friday match) and they are pretty much the same as Joe Hart's who wasn't involved in the game either!!
Harry needs help.
He needs to sit down with a coach, go through the vids and identify the issues.
So far I see no evidence that he has recognised those issues so the popular myth of getting him to 'play through it' ain't gonna work.
The year is 2015, video analysis is an integral part of the game with players reviewing not only their own performance but the opponents too. Every training session is also filmed and analysed. If you have any more amazing football ideas right them down on a fag packet and send them to Poch and Hodgeson And together you can revolutionise football.

Oscar Wilde once said 'A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing'.

Well I was hoping for something more constructive Mr C...never mind.....I'll take what I can get.
Not sure what you want me to say - I disagree with your post.
He's a footballer, not a basket case in need of counselling. He emerged on the scene and scored a lot of goals before people worked out how to play against him. As discussed elsewhere - he now needs to work out how to deal with the attention.
I think you are over "science-ing" (I know it's not a word) the situation, and ignoring all of the other work he does and the space he creates for other players made by defences concentrating on where he is and what he is doing.

Also didn't Kane only start banging in the league goals in November. We just have to get through October and then BAM... He will be smashing em in.
Only really because that is when he started league games.

This time last season he had started FOUR games in all competitions.. Scored in each one of those games too. Already this season he's started 11 games and we're in October. He has scored once.

I really wish people would stop saying he only started scoring in november as well mate, he was a europa league player till villa away!!

You're supposed to be the positive one mate. That's depressed me.

Apologies but thought it had to be said. I get the feeling people felt like he started a lot more than he did at this stage last season.

A positive is that his goals in the league STARTED in November and he ended up getting 20+ goals in the league alone. So just because he's at 1 so far this season doesn't mean he isn't going to score a lot of goals.

Oh yeah I know man but people keep referring to him not scoring in the league till then and that drives me nuts, he didnt score because he wasn't playing!

I agree, he does work hard off the ball but he has to work even harder to score goals as well.
This is one of the downsides to playing a lone striker; that player has to be scoring goals and getting in the positions that allow him to do so otherwise we are back to where we were when Soldado was playing.
Maybe part of the problem lies with our 3 ATMs but that's for Poch to sort out. What concerns me is that, at the moment, I don't see the player progressing in the role of a striker.
Hopefully, next time out, that will change.

sure - they were the problem for Soldado - he never got the service he thrives on and he was asked to play a role he's unsuited to - but that was knowing what the strengths of a 10 year professional were, before purchase.

The player that Harry Kane will be known for possibly hasn't fully emerged yet, but I would say he's not really suited as the out and out lone striker, I really feel that his value will come as a creative second striker a la Sheringham.

Disagree. I cant quite accept he would be second to a main forward. He showed last season that he can score goals. Yes, from various positions, thats modern football. He is a centre forward as near as you can imagine . Either with support or he needs to take on less and get support form others from wide and midfield.

He is not a TS type player. He needs a player along side him to do all the around the box stuff that he seems to take responsibility for. A player like Peter Beardsley, a player that would compliment him.

The problem at the moment is, he is doing too much and the support form others are not enhancing he's play. I get the other teams are weary of him and look to nullify him. Thats football, he needs to rise above it and the players around him need to support him. It will come with Kane he just needs to be a little moor economical with his play. He does too much.
