Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's really not anywhere near as bad as you lot make out. He plays badly when the whole team are but for some reason is singled out as the key issue.

Lamela now has transcended to god like status even though his consistency has only improved marginally. Not long ago he was the whipping boy though

It really is gooner like levels of fickleness

Being likeable and hard working does wonders.

I don't find Son either of those things. On top of that, I think he's a coward surrounded by team mates who would all fight for each other if that need arrived - Son wouldn't. Not exactly popular attributes.

yea it's true. he has been outstanding in some games.. and offers us something reallly good. then he may struggle at times but who hasn't?
And people make up the most ridiculous myths about him.. A while back people wrote here that his first touch was absolutely woeful.. OK, so how about the TWO first touches against Stoke that resulted in outstanding goals... sure, his first touch must be so bad.
Truth is, some people don't know shit about football. they would rather have a charlie adam over a son..
Son is amazing and I hope he stays with us for a long time.

It's just that he's very inconsistent. As a korean fan myself, I've been following this player since he was 15. He excels in a few matches and then goes on a ghost mode for a few weeks. He's been like since his debut in Bundesliga.. He needs to fix that if he wants to improve..

Nice to have him as an option off the bench. He can be very frustrating with his usual poor first touch, lack of first time passing in a swift attack or a loss of possession here and there but he gives us threat on the break with his pace and he DOES know where the back of the net is. Many times this season he's come off the bench and caused a threat, whether that's getting assists or scoring goals and that's vital to have in a long season.

I almost feel like him and Sissoko are vying for the same spot in the line up and are getting the best out of eachother with Sissoko's rise in form too.
